Dublin to commemorate Dracula author BRAM STOKER with a bronze bustFriday, November 6, 2015
HP Lovecraft in Providence, Edgar Allan Poe in Boston, and now, BRAM STOKER in Dublin, Ireland. You read that right, the man behind of of the horror genre's most enduring and iconic creations, Dracula, will soon be the subject of his own Bronze Bust, courtesy of The Bram Stoker Bronze Bust Project in association with the Bram Stoker Estate.
Continuing the tradition of sculpting busts of Lovecraft and Poe, sculptor Bryan Moore has teamed up with Graham Humphreys, Reber Clark, Larry Wessel and Lizette Web-Strike to work with fans of Dracula worldwide to create this long overdue tribute to the Irish Godfather of vampire lore.
The BRAM STOKER bust is set for unveiling in Dublin, Ireland, the city of the author's birth, in May 2016. Confirmed for the ceremony will be writer DAVID J. SKAL, whose Stoker biography Something In the Blood will be published in 2016. Personally-signed copies of the first edition will be offered as a premium to the Bram Stoker Bronze Bust Project contributors at the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, coming soon. Skal will also be on hand to give a special preview reading from the book as part of the unveiling activities.
