Twin Peaks RETURNS!

David Lynch says David Lynch is doing 'Twin Peaks' again

A month after David Lynch very publicly backed out of Showtime's "Twin Peaks" revival, the eccentric filmmaker has very publicly backed himself back in.
As he said on Twitter earlier this evening:

Dear Twitter Friends, the rumors are not what they seem ..... It is !!! Happening again. #TwinPeaks returns on @SHO_Network
All the scripts for the revived series, which will star Kyle MacLachlan and debut in 2016, had already reportedly been written by Lynch and "Peaks" co-creator Mark Frost. But Lynch had previously committed to directing all the episodes, which would vastly outpace his directorial output for this entire century if he went through with it. It was unclear a month ago if Lynch was really quitting or publicly negotiating (whether for more money or for the ability to back out of some or all of that directorial commitment), but he's back in now, and more committed than ever, as confirmed by this statement from Showtime's David Nevins:
“This damn fine cup of coffee from Mark and David tastes more delicious than ever.  Totally worth the extra brewing time and the cup is even bigger than we expected.  David will direct the whole thing which will total more than the originally announced nine hours.  Pre production starts now!!”
Resume partying. All is well.  xcheers :-|

Naravučenije: Ol vel det endz vel!!! If itz not vel, itz not di end!

Najnovija vest:

Damn! Twins Peaks won’t arrive until 2017!?

Co-creator Mark Frost sends shivers down the spines of every fan

The road to Showtime’s Twin Peaks is long and winding and … murky. First David Lynch signed on. Then he signed off. Then he signed back on. Then they doubled the episode count from nine to 18. Now, it appears the highly anticipated third season of the series won’t arrive until 2017. Well, at least if co-creator Mark Frost is to be trusted.

During a visit to the National Baseball Hall of Fame (via Indiewire) of all places, Frost waxed nostalgic on the show and let slip a bit of news that should have fans running to the Log Lady with questions:

“We had 32 hours back in 1991-92, and with my partner David Lynch we kind of blew open that genre of the nighttime soap and took it in a whole other direction,” he said. “A lot of people always look back at ‘Twin Peaks’ and say that was the start of this explosion we’ve had in good television drama, but we did it in a time when there were still only three networks.

“The challenge for us is to try and come back and raise the bar above what we did the last time,” he continued. “We’re coming back with season three of ‘Twin Peaks’ after a 25-year absence. We’ve finished the scripts, we start production in September, and that will be coming out on Showtime sometime in 2017.”

Did he really mean 2016? Could he have just fudged the dates? Until Showtime uploads a banner on their site that reads Winter 2017 or Fall 2016, we’ll just have to admit that we’re 100% sure that we’re not completely sure. In the meantime, let’s just be happy a couple of other FBI agents are coming back next January.

e, jbg:
umrla LOG LADY.
pitam se kako će se to odraziti na planirani scenario...

RIP to the wonderful stage, film and television actress Catherine E. Coulson - TWIN PEAKS' Log Lady - who passed away today at the age of 71.
