Pre nekoliko epizoda Ernesta je poboljšala prilike u postojećem stripoverzumu  učinivši ga idiličnijim. Iako su promene očigledne, mediji još uvek funkcionišu na jedan tabloidan i senzacionalistički način, iako, mora se priznati, sada je akcenat bačen na posve drugačije stvari... Pa tako, žestoki sukob simbolista i naturalista u jednom romskom naselju, Majkl Đekson Petrović i njegova supruga Hanka Barbera koriste za potpunu i ključnu emancipaciju.
