Synopsis:

The films of Roger Corman are often as well-known for their behind-the-scenes stories as they are the ones unfolding on the screen. He famously made Little Shop of Horrors in just two days using sets left over from A Bucket of Blood and shot The Terror over a long weekend because bad weather prevented him from playing tennis. But none of these tales is quite so complex, or quite so extraordinary, as the making of Blood Bath.

The saga began when Corman invested in a Yugoslavian Krimi-like picture entitled Operation Titian just prior to it going into production. Insisting it be filmed in English, he sent actors William Campbell and Patrick Magee, and uncredited story editor Francis Ford Coppola (all fresh from Dementia 13), to Dubrovnik to make a US-friendly movie but wasn’t satisfied with the end results. First it was re-cut and re-scored to create Portrait in Terror, a film more in line with drive-in tastes, then it was handed over to Jack Hill (Spider Baby), followed by Stephanie Rothman (Terminal Island), each undertaking reshoots that resulted in a vampire picture by the name of Blood Bath. One final twist was provided when a TV version was required, chopping scenes and adding others to create Track of the Vampire.

For this release Arrow Video has searched through the vaults to bring you all four versions of Blood Bath, newly restored from the best materials available to provide a definitive release of one of Corman’s craziest ventures.

In The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave, troubled aristocrat Alan Cunningham (Anthony Steffen, Django the B*stard), haunted by the death of his first wife Evelyn, tries to move on by marrying the seductive Gladys (Marina Malfatti, All the Colours of the Dark). Marital bliss is short-lived, however, as various relatives meet untimely and gruesome deaths, prompting speculation that a vengeful Evelyn has risen from the grave...

Meanwhile, in The Red Queen Kills Seven Times, an age-old family curse hits sisters Kitty (Barbara Bouchet, Milano Calibro 9) and Franziska (Marina Malfatti) following the death of their grandfather Tobias (Rudolf Schündler, The Exorcist, Suspiria). Every hundred years, so the legend goes, the bloodthirsty Red Queen returns and claims seven fresh victims. Was Tobias just the first... and are Kitty and Franziska next?

Издање је лимитирано на 1111 примерака (паковање у облику књиге са корицама од правог дрвета пресвучених вештачком црвеном кожом, садржај паковања у дрвеној ладици, корице са дубоко утиснутим словима, назив филма такође са "сребротиском").
Суспирија се по први пут објављује у ауторизованој 4K рестаурацији оригиналног филмског негатива.
Ову рестаурацију је обавио  TLEFilms Film Restoration & Preservation Services, Германија, 2016. године за Videa Spa., власника светских права.

Американски издавач Мондо Макабро је управо открио да планира излазак последњег филма Маријана Вајде Mosquito der Schänder (Bloodlust) (Москито, оскрнавитељ) (1977), у коме учествују Вернер Похат (Werner Pochath), Елен Умлауф (Ellen Umlauf), Биргит Замуло (Birgit Zamulo), Петер Хам (Peter Hamm) и Чарли Хилтел (Charly Hiltl). Издање се очекује на тржишту овог лета.

Гледам и скоро не могу да верујем

Вест је у ствари доста стара, датује још из децембра прошле године и није ми јасно како је могла да ми промакне као великом ерудити и интелектуалцу. Сада је само утврђен датум изласка, 13. јула 2018. године.
Ограничено комбиновано издање Blu-Ray и DVD у 990 примерака.
Технички подаци:

Тек сам сад приметио да нема сличице издања а интересовање за ову тему је толико да се не нађе било ко да пита о чему ја то.  Да разјасним па да се повучем на дуже време.  У питању је Лептирица Ђорђа Кадијевића.  Немци су урадили за филм две синхронизације, једну зову ретро и на њу је додат шум и "крцкање"  да би изгледала старо иако је урађена 2017/2018 а филм никада није приказиван на немачкој телевизији. Ево шта каже о томе Оливер Нединг:

As far as I know, LEPTIRICA has never been shown on German television, neither in West nor East Germany. I'm not 100 % sure, but I think the two German soundtracks are completely new and have been recorded especially for the new Blu-ray edition. One track is labeled as a "retro version", so my guess is they made one version that sounds "older", whatever that means. Germans are used to dubbing, so most of them expect German sound on their DVDs or BRs as well. Discs that only feature the original sound and no German soundtrack won't sell, so many labels will record new German soundtracks to make their product more attractive for potential customers. Fulci's SETTE NOTE IN NERO is another film that was never officially released in Germany which got a newly recorded German soundtrack for its Blu-ray release.

As you can see, he is far too young to have done it when the film originally came out.

Са друге стране, доцент Огњановић сумња да је ово легитимно издање али ће проверити. У сваком случају, прилично труда је уложено а за техничку страну је задужена фирма LSP Medien.

Био сам се повукао са форума раније па се није ни осетило.
Него, зашто је Уредник Джон Рейнольдс постао тако мрзовољан да не може да провери да ли је све у реду са ауторским правима код овог германског издања Лептирице? Да ли су међуљудски односи у Телевизији толико лоши?

Гледе ауторских права и Лептирице, на омоту и дисковима пише "Made by RTS Licence" тако да је ово питање затворено.

Познати криминалистички филм Револвер Серђа Солиме (Sergio Sollima)  имаће светску Blu-ray премијеру у Француској у новембру у издању M6 Video у луксузном паковању (комбиновано издање у облику књижице). Скоро је извесно да неће бити English-friendly али ће се то средити.

Ред је да пренесемо да ће први италијански култни хорор Zombie (Zombi 2) (Zombie Flesh Eaters) у најновијем Ultra Blu-ray формату објавити американски Blue Underground у мају 2020. године.

Презентација ће имати чак Dolby Vision варијанту високог динамичког опсега.

Пошто продаја "Зомбија" (и "Манијака") иде толико добро да је продато 2/3 почетног тиража, Blue Underground је одлучио да у августу објави још два филма Луча Фулчија на UltraHD Blu-ray дисковима: "Кућа поред гробља" и "Њујоршки трбосек".

Француски издавач Le chat qui fume објавиће Бавин филм I tre volti della paura у комбинованом издању Ultra Blu-ray + Blu-ray у марту у ограниченом тиражу од 1000 примерака.


Издање није English-friendly али сам врло убеђен да ће бити врло брзо распродато.

Британски Arrow је за јун 2021. године најавио Арђентову "Тајну црне рукавице" (Птица са кристалним перјем) на Ultra Blu-ray диску.
