Genijalan govor, veoma istinit.

Alexandre Lebedev punches another CEO on Live Russian TV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UUwb9aXmVQ#)

QuoteRussian billionaire Alexander Lebedev, owner of two leading British newspapers, punched a man in the face during a television debate on the financial crisis to be aired on Sunday.

A clip posted on the NTV television channel's website shows Lebedev, a former KGB agent who has made a fortune in banking, landed a right jab to the face of ex-real estate baron Sergei Polonsky.

Lebedev knocked Polonsky off his chair, and threw another punch as Polonsky tumbled off the back of the studio's elevated platform, but the second punch failed to connect.

Just before Lebedev pounced, Polonsky told the other guests he wanted to "stick one in the mouth."

On his blog, Lebedev justified the assault by saying Polonsky had behaved in an aggressive, threatening manner throughout the debate.

"In a critical situation, there is no choice. I see no reason to be hit with the first shot. I neutralised him," the owner of Independent and Evening Standard newspapers said.

Lebedev also co-owns liberal Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta with ex-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.

Polonsky, who used to head the Mirax Group real estate firm, got up quickly and did not appear injured, but later published online pictures of a cut on his arm and his torn trousers.

Polonsky's business nosedived after the onset of the 2008 global financial crisis, forcing him to abandon work on Muscow's Federation Tower, which he hoped would become the tallest building in Europe.

(https://www.znaksagite.com/diskusije/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fforum.srpskinacionalisti.com%2Fdownload%2Ffile.php%3Fid%3D25938%26amp%3Bt%3D1&hash=cf4965601aea028be38d4a2670fc2c20f7af37ef)

Konuzinu ljubili ruke u Topoli

Aleksandar Konuzin, ambasador Rusije, dočekan je juče u Topoli ovacijama,
a građani su mu prilazili i ljubili ruke.

(https://www.znaksagite.com/diskusije/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mondo.rs%2Fslike%2Fvesti%2F002%2F184%2Fv218425p0.jpg&hash=092e3c367b4f15858a9ae0ac8dc9eea18314972e)

Tači osvaja sever Kosova, a vas baš briga".

Drunk, naked driver smashes 12 cars in Moscow (http://news.yahoo.com/drunk-naked-driver-smashes-12-cars-moscow-165742289.html)
Quote

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian police say a drunk and naked driver has wreaked havoc in central Moscow, damaging 12 cars before being caught by police.
The city police said they started pursuing the man Sunday after he ignored a road sign banning a turn and refused orders to stop. In the ensuing chase, the motorist nearly hit a school bus, rammed through a police vehicle and smashed several other cars before being caught. When police got him he was completely naked.
Footage broadcast by Russian television stations showed him lying on the pavement and shouting "don't cover me!" to officers who tried to cover him with clothes.
The man said he came from the ex-Soviet nation of Moldova and was in distress over an unhappy relationship.

Russia arrests "cemetery collector" with 29 bodies (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/russia-arrests-cemetery-collector-29-bodies-112741474.html)
Quote
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian police have arrested a man described by local media as the "cemetery collector" for digging up 29 corpses and dressing the remains in female clothing to display around his flat.
Grainy police video images of the man's cramped flat showed what look like several life-sized female dolls without faces, some with platinum blond wigs.
"During a search of his flat and garage, 29 self-made, life-size dolls dressed in the clothes of buried people were found," a spokesman for police in Nizhny Novgorod, 400 km (250 miles) east of Moscow, said on Tuesday.
"It was ascertained that he used mummified human bodies from graves to make them (the dolls)."
Police described the man, who was arrested following the desecration of graves in the area, as a local historian and an expert in the study of place names.
Media cited friends as saying they had never seen the dolls and that he was a learned, if eccentric, man.

Mikhail Gorbachev calls for a new vote in Russia (http://news.yahoo.com/mikhail-gorbachev-calls-vote-russia-120940655.html)
Quote
MOSCOW (AP) — Russian authorities should annul the results of the parliamentary vote and hold a new one, former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev urged Wednesday as popular indignation grew over widespread allegations of election fraud.
The call for an entirely new vote by the last president of the Soviet Union was a remarkable development for an election that had not generated much interest during the campaign. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had wanted to see his United Russia party do well to pave the way for his return to the presidency, but few Russians seemed to care about the vote, with many saying they assumed the results would be manipulated anyway.
United Russia won less than 50 percent of Sunday's vote, a steep fall from the 64 percent it won four years ago. But opposition parties and independent observers say even that result was inflated by vote-rigging, including alleged ballot-box stuffing and false voter rolls.
Gorbachev told the Interfax news agency that authorities must hold a fresh election or deal with a rising tide of discontent.
"More and more people are starting to believe that the election results are not fair," he told Interfax. "I believe that ignoring public opinion discredits the authorities and destabilizes the situation."
Surprisingly, thousands of Russians have rallied in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the last two days, facing off against tens of thousands of police and Interior Ministry troops. Hundreds of protesters have been detained in both cities. The unusually sustained protests suggests Putin's drive to regain his old job may not go as smoothly as he had expected.
The malaise revealed in Sunday's parliamentary election suggested Russians are tiring of Putin and his United Russia party, which has dominated all other political forces in Russia for the past dozen years and earned a reputation for corruption.
Gorbachev added that authorities "must admit that there have been numerous falsifications and ballot box stuffing."
He spoke on the same day that Putin officially registered to run for the presidency in a March vote.
Putin served as president from 2000 to 2008, when he moved into the prime minister's office because of a constitutional limit of two consecutive presidential terms. A constitutional amendment pushed through parliament by United Russia extended the presidential term from four to six years. Under it, Putin, 59, could theoretically serve as Russia's leader until 2024.
The 80-year-old Gorbachev, leader of the Soviet Union from 1985 until its breakup in 1991, has long had tense relations with Putin, but until recent years had refrained from directing his criticism of Russian politics at Putin.
Putin has been extremely critical of Gorbachev's legacy, including his concession to what many Russians saw as Western pressure to pull Soviet troops out of Germany, and has blamed him for the Soviet Union's demise.
Thousands of security forces were out in the Russian capital and helicopters roamed the sky Wednesday, a show of force following two days of protest. More opposition rallies were expected later in the day.
The Interior Ministry said Tuesday at least 51,500 police officers and 2,000 paramilitary troops have been deployed in Moscow since the election.
About 1,000 people gathered at a pro-Putin concert Wednesday afternoon in central Moscow. The crowd of mainly young people waved Russian flags and danced as organizers spoke on a stage adorned with a banner reading "The Future is Ours."
Someone dressed as a giant white bear — United Russia's mascot — danced among the crowd. He stopped occasionally to hug supporters — but kept right on dancing when someone ran out of the crowd to kick him in the rear.
College student Ivan Samburov, 17, said he had no interest in the protest rallies.
"I prefer just to stand like this and dance, to have fun and improve my mood, to feel that everything is good," he said.
The Russian Union of Journalists condemned police violence against protesters and called for an investigation into the dozens of attacks and arrests of journalists, describing them as "an attempt to gag and intimidate society."
On Wednesday, two video journalists working for the state-owned RIA Novosti news agency were briefly detained outside the Central Election Commission building where Putin was handing in his application to run.
The allegations of election fraud have fired up the opposition, which has long seen its protests crushed and its pleas ignored by the Kremlin-dominated media.
On Facebook, almost 15,000 people signed up to a page announcing an opposition rally for Saturday — and many of them have never taken part in political demonstrations
Mariya Boyarintseva, a 24-year-old event manager, said she has never been to a political rally before but she was going to Saturday's protest.
Boyarintseva said she didn't go to the rallies on Monday or Tuesday — which ended with clashes with police and hundreds detained — because "it felt a bit scary."
"Now, I have a feeling that I ought to go," she said.

Billionaire's Daughter Pays Record Sum for NYC Pad (http://finance.yahoo.com/news/billionaire-s-daughter-pays-record-sum-for-nyc-pad.html)
Quote
Former Citigroup chairman Sandy Weill listed his 6,744-sq-ft apartment at 15 Central Park West for an astonishing $88 million in November, promising to donate the proceeds of the sale to charity.

Now comes news that Ekaterina Rybolovleva, the 22-year-old daughter of Russian billionaire Dmitriy Rybolovlev, is buying the condominium. Rybolovleva is currently studying at an undisclosed U.S. university and plans to stay in the apartment when visiting New York. According to a source familiar with the sale, she paid the full asking price of $88 million, setting a record for highest individual transaction in New York City history.

Here is the official statement from her representatives:

A company associated with Ekaterina Rybolovleva, daughter of a well-known businessman Dmitriy Rybolovlev, has signed a contract to purchase an apartment at 15 Central Park West, New York. The apartment is a condominium currently owned by the Sanford Weill Family.

Ms. Rybolovleva is currently studying at a US university. She plans to stay in the apartment when visiting New York. Ms. Rybolovleva was born in Russia, is a resident of Monaco and has resided in Monaco and Switzerland for the past 15 years."

The apartment, in one of the toniest post-war buildings in Manhattan, has 10 rooms including 4 bedrooms, a wraparound terrace of more than 2,000 sq. feet, 4 bedrooms and 2 wood burning fireplaces.

"This sale is an outlier. It works out to be about $13,000 per sq. foot, the highest on record, for anything, that has ever occurred," says Jonathan Miller, chief executive of real estate appraiser Miller Samuel, "What is ironic is that when Sandy Weill bought it for less than half this amount, he paid the highest price per sq foot to date in that building, around, $6,400 per sq. foot. He is again setting a record."

The previous New York City record had been set back before the market crash when investor Christopher Flowers paid $53 million for a townhouse at 4 east 75th Street. He resold the property on August 15 for just over $36 million.

There were two other very notable sales in the city this year. Russian composer Igor Krutoy paid a record $48 million for a condo at the Plaza in March, and a townhouse at 16 East 69th Street sold for $48 million in July.

Rybolovleva is the second daughter of a billionaire to make huge real estate news this year. Back in July, heiress Petra Ecclestone, daughter of UK Formula One billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, apparently paid $85 million for Spelling Manor, the 56,500-square foot mansion that was previously owned by Candy Spelling, widow of famed TV producer Aaron Spelling, whose works include the "Beverly Hills 90210," "Charlie's Angels," and "Dynasty" series.

Rybolovleva's father Dmitriy sold the majority of his stake in Uralkali, the fertilizer business that made him rich, for $6.5 billion in 2010.  He is already known in U.S. real estate circles for his May 2008 purchase of Donald Trump's Palm Beach mansion, Maison de L'Amitie. He paid $95 million in cash for that residence, $25 million less than what Trump had originally asked. It was apparently the largest single residence price concession of all time.  He may not own that house much longer though. His wife Elena, who filed for divorce in Pam Beach court in 2009, is seeking transfer of ownership of the former Trump mansion.  He himself spends much of his time at his home in Monaco and is likely to buy the struggling French football club, AS Monaco.

Russia developing a gun that turns people into zombies (seriously) (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technology-blog/russia-developing-gun-turns-people-zombies-seriously-232522297.html)
Quote
Ever since the game Resident Evil and the movie 28 Days Later (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/28_Days_Later) breathed new light into the zombie attack genre, America has been on something of an obsessive kick. We all played Plants vs. Zombies (http://www.tecca.com/columns/gaming-on-the-go-plants-vs-zombies-for-nintendo-ds/). We've designed exercise routines (http://www.tecca.com/columns/zombie-fitness/) to help keep us safe from the zombie apocalypse. There are even zombie attack bedsheets (http://www.tecca.com/news/2012/02/01/never-sleep-alone-bed-sheets-zombie-etsy/). Thankfully, though, a zombie attack is an impossibility. Or is it?
Russian President Vladmir Putin confirmed that his country is working on the creation of an electromagnetic gun that attacks its target's central nervous system, putting them in what we hope is a temporary, zombie-like state. According to Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdyukov, "when it was used for dispersing a crowd and it was focused on a man, his body temperature went up immediately as if he was thrown into a frying pan."
"We know very little about this weapon, and even special forces guys can hardly cope with it," added Serdyukov. That doesn't sound very comforting.
While this technology is certainly disturbing, thankfully, it's unlikely to be the cause of the inevitable zombie apocalypse. Victims of the gun don't — as far as we know — develop a taste for human brains. And since the zombie effect isn't viral, those dissidents won't be able to go around turning other people into the restless undead. Phew.

Quote
MOSCOW - A lone protester detained in a small city east of Moscow earlier this month for spitting on an image of Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been sentenced to 15 days in prison (http://blogs.wsj.com/emergingeurope/2012/05/30/russian-protester-to-do-time-for-spitting-on-putin-portrait/?mod=google_news_blog) after being convicted of "minor hooliganism."
Dimitry Karuyev insists he only sneezed on the photo, but the incident nevertheless shows how Russian authorities are cracking down on dissenters as Putin begins his third term in office amid unprecedented protests against him.
Two men were detained in Moscow (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-31/russian-court-authorizes-detention-of-two-anti-putin-protesters.html) earlier this week for allegedly assaulting riot police during a May 6 protest that turned violent. Several dozen protesters and about 30 police officers were injured in the scuffle (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2012/05/anti-putin-protesters-clash-with-riot-police-in-largest-rally-since-december/) that ended with hundreds detained and several police helmets bobbing in the Moscow River.
A third person, an 18-year-old woman named Alexandra Dukhanina (http://en.gazeta.ru/news/2012/05/29/a_4605073.shtml) who appeared in a widely published photo of the May 6 rally, has also been placed under house arrest (http://en.gazeta.ru/news/2012/05/29/a_4605817.shtml)  while awaiting trial for allegedly taking part in "violent activity" during the protest.
Each of the three face a maximum of 5 years in prison if convicted.
Russian news reports speculate the three were singled out after they were identified in videos and photos of the melee posted online (http://www.newsru.com/russia/30may2012/luzianin.html#1).
Analysts here have said it's becoming apparent that Putin and his inner circle have decided to use a heavy hand when dealing with the nascent protest movement.
That became clear when, in a symbolic move earlier this month, Putin named an assembly line worker as his envoy to the Urals.  During the contentious presidential campaign the man became famous in Russia after offering to come to Moscow and clear the protesters off the streets.
Authorities also jailed two prominent protest leaders, anti-corruption blogger Alexey Navalny and radical leftist Sergei Udaltsov, for 15 days earlier this month for their part in organizing the May 6 protest and subsequent demonstrations. Police are reportedly exploring further charges that could put them behind bars for a much longer time.
The ruling United Russia party, meanwhile, has spearheaded an effort to increase fines and penalties significantly for unsanctioned protests.
The opposition remains deeply divided, but leaders have pledged to mount another large protest on June 12 and are battling with municipal authorities for a permit.
In Moscow today a heavy police presence was on hand to keep an eye on a protest, small but persistent, that has taken place on the last day of every month that ends in 31. At least 80 people were detained in the capital and dozens more in smaller rallies around the country.
