"Today Dario and Claudio were at a press conference. Dario mentioned that his next project will be the already mentioned 1 hour film for the Masters of Horror series. His film will be the first to be shot (in April), and it will be shot in Canada and the US. He didn't give much away, since the script isn't finished but it deals with "a girl who's quite beautiful, but doesn't believe so" (his words, not mine; he struggled a bit with his English). He mentioned it was a "really creepy" story.

He talked about the last chapter of the "Three Mothers" trilogy. He said he hopes to film it after finishing the Masters of Horror film, if things go right. He said it was quite a heavy task, since he left that series more than 20 years ago, but it's something everyone wants to see and it's something he wants to do (properly) and he said he hopes not to disappoint his fans, he hopes to make his fans proud. When I asked him if he will keep the film visually similar to Suspiria and Inferno he said a lot of things changed since then (cgi effects, etc...), but he hopes to keep a visual style similar to the previous two.

He mentioned finishing two other projects, although I didn't understand what exactly they were. He also mentioned "Ti Piace Hitchcock?". He said it's a pretty interesting film, very referencial (not only regarding Hitchcock's films). He seemed to have enjoyed making it.

He also spoke of American remakes of old horror films, something that is so popular these days. He said he didn't like the Dawn of the Dead remake, and that the makers of the original weren't asked to be a part of it, which according to Dario wasn't a very nice thing to do. I then asked about the rumoured Suspiria remake (the one that Dimension Films announced in 2003), and I was actually surprised by his answer. He said he doesn't think the remake will happen, since Dimension is part of Miramax and they seem to have some problems at the moment, but apparently Dario was contacted and it seems the "plan" was for Dario to pen a script for the film and serve as a producer, and the film was supposed to be true to the original, since the director planned to keep things (camera angles, ...) similar to Argento's work.

He also spoke of other things not directly related to his work, like Asia's career. Unlike most reports I read he didn't seem upset with his daughter (I read lots of reports mentioning there were "problems" between the two). He sounded like any proud father would sound, especially when he mentioned the great reception Asia's been getting with some of her recent work. He also mentioned he thinks she's a great, talented actress."
