I guess ol' Sly grew weary from his continued attempts to resurrect both Rocky and Rambo, and has instead moved on to... Edgar Allen Poe? That's a little unexpected.
Stallone is planning to direct a film based on the life of the gifted wordsmith who crafted some of the most famous macabre tales in history ("The Raven" *, "The Pit and the Pendulum" and "The Fall of the House of Usher", just to name a few examples for anyone out there who isn't much of a reader, a saddening phrase I hear all too often). The film, written by Stallone, will focus on the scribe's darker days when he tipped the absinthe a fair bit (like any good creator of the time) and went a little loony.
Stallone wants to get Robert Downey Jr. (who, and this is just speculation, can probably relate to themes of addiction and depression) for the lead in the movie, which will take a cue from Rocky and simply be called Poe (we'll have to wait until Poe II for the training montage in which Eddie preps for his transcontinental bout with Dickens).
*autor texta očito nije upoznat sa opskurnom činjenicom da je GAVRAN zapravo pjesma, a ne 'tale' (priča), ali dobro - sa američkim sistemom obrazovanja, 2 od 3 i nije tako loše...
misliš da su to ikad čitali....eventualno su gledali Cormana
ali super što režira Stallone - danas sam saznao na jednom drugom siteu kako je on zapravo neshvaćeni genij....a ja debilna budala koja to nije shvatila :x :x :x :x
