To je sjajan scenario. Da je film snimljen po njemu, oduvao bi i Noć i Zoru u vražju mater. Mada je meni i ovakav Dan odličan film.

Što se tiče ovog novog filma - pomislio sam, ako se tendencija pada kvaliteta nastavi pa ovo bude gore od Dnevnika, jadna li nam majka. Onda sam se utješio - NE MOŽE biti gore od Dnevnika  :!:

(Mada, sudeći po ovim facama, bitka će biti vrlo uzbudljiva. Ova Kathleen Munroe je sigurno pandan onoj glavnoj gaduri iz Dnevnika, ono stvorenje s violinom je nekakav mrljavac, crnkinja je vjerovatno vođa navijačica ili nešto slično. Lijepo bi bilo da glavni lik bude onaj tip sa šeširom što liči na matorog Poaroa, ali teško...)

Izgleda da će ipak biti preživelih likova iz DNEVNIKA, a ako je suditi po dosadašnjim pričama, jedan od njih će svakako biti plavuša Amy Lalonde:

Here's a real Halloween treat: an exclusive early peek at a zombie, fresh off the blood-splattered set of ghoulmeister George A. Romero's sixth edition of his stumbling-dead saga.

The 2009 release, which is filming in and around Toronto, doesn't have a title yet. But it does have a concept. "It's about tribalism," says Romero about the story that unfolds on a small island a couple of weeks after the original outbreak in 1968's Night of the Living Dead. "There are two factions. It's the idea that even when faced with a crisis, tribal concerns about power control people's motives."

One side wants to kill off zombified loved ones before cannibalistic urges strike. The other would rather wait to see if there is a cure for such cravings. "They want to leave Grandma in the rocking chair for a while longer," he says. "It's not a good idea."

A few characters are reprised from 2005's Land of the Dead and 2007's Diary of the Dead. "Diary was like Night. It had a brooding personality," he says. This one is more like 1978's Dawn of the Dead, "with a lot of action."

Some things never change. Romero's zombies retain their signature lumbering gait. A shot in the head remains the best way to halt the fiends. And the script reflects today's headlines.

"It's this whole idea of tribalism, that we can't pull it together," he says. "News reports about the presidential race still bring up religious topics or racism. That's pretty much the central theme."[/quote]

Zapravo, Romerovi protagonisti uopste nisu zombiji, vec - gulovi. Koliko znam, rec "zombi" se ne pominje ni u jednom filmu sem, mozda, u poslednjem - koji nisam jos gledao, pa ne znam.

Pošto sam za DiVX preveo tri od pet filmova (drugi, treći i četvrti), mogu da kažem sledeće - nakon upotrebe dragocene opcije "find":lol: :

- U serijalu se za zombije generalno upotrebljava izraz "the dead" (mrtvaci).

- Izraz "ghoul" korišćen je samo u Noći živih mrtvaca.

- U scenariju Zore mrtvaca, izraz "zombi" je službeni izraz za mrtvace, a u samom filmu upotrebljen je samo jednom, tokom upada bajkera u supermarket ("Slušaj, kad se ta velika vrata otvore, unutra će ući na hiljade zombija. To bi trebalo da im skrene malo pažnju sa nas.").

- U Danu mrtvaca se zombiji ne spominju.

- U Zemlji mrtvih se spominju dva puta: (1) "Evo ti ga na, plačljivi jedan zombiju!" (2) "Zombiji, čoveče, ježim se od njih."

Tehnicki, zombiji ne jedju meso. Ti sto jedju meso su gulovi.

A filmove sam gledao bez titlova, pa dzebiga. Mada, svejedno, za "zombi" filmove te reci ima jako malo, cak i kad je ima, zar ne? To mi ucinilo zanimljivim, cisto onako.

Slažem se. Zombiji se mnogo više pominju u scenarijima Romerovih filmova i na njihovim špicama nego u samim dijalozima.

Evo, proverio sam i Dnevnik mrtvih: samo dva puta.

Zaboravio sam da kažem da se u Noći živih mrtvaca ne koristi termin "zombi".

This time, it's not only the zombies who look a mess. "George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead," the sixth installment in the writer-helmer's long-running franchise, is steeped in fan-pleasing gore but woefully thin on ideas, originality (beyond new zombie-offing methods) or directorial flair. Picking up threads from "Diary of the Dead" but with fresh character meat, "Survival" unfolds on an island where the ambulatory deceased are piggies in the middle of a feud between still-breathing locals. Romero's hordes of faithful fans will shuffle out regardless, but theatrical prospects look to be as limited as the last entry's were.

Entirely filmed in Canada instead of the Pennsylvania locations used in the earlier episodes of the franchise, "Survival" sets the action mainly on a fictional Plum Island in Delaware. It's been six days since the dead began to walk, per onscreen titles, and two local families, the O'Flynns and the Muldoons, are at loggerheads about how to deal with the zombie incursion.

The O'Flynns' patriarch (Kenneth Welsh) prefers a zero-tolerance approach, exterminating the infected with extreme prejudice. The Muldoon clan chief (Richard Fitzpatrick) insists they should chain up the zombies, especially those related to him, and wait for a cure.

O'Flynn is outnumbered in a standoff and forced into exile on the mainland with a few fellow clansmen. Seeking revenge, he posts a video on a YouTube-like site inviting people to come to Plum, hoping more zombies will get to the island to bedevil Muldoon and Co. He also takes advantage of the opportunity to stop some sanctuary seekers for a bit of highway robbery.

Meanwhile, a renegade band of soldiers, first met in "Diary," hook up with an unnamed teenage boy (Devon Bostick, who, like nearly all the thesps here, is Canadian) who tells them about O'Flynn's video invitation. Hard-nosed squad leader Sarge (Alan Van Sprang, veteran of "Diary of the Dead" and its predecessor, "Land of the Dead") begrudgingly agrees to go to Plum with him and the squad. After a quayside shootout with O'Flynn and some inevitable zombie-battling, the squad make it to the island, where they find numerous zombies chained like dogs, still going about the chores (posting letters, plowing fields) they vaguely remember from their lives. 

The best installments in the franchise, the original "Night of the Living Dead" and its follow-up, "Dawn of the Dead," elegantly infused the horror with social commentary, deftly weaving subtextual critiques of racism and consumerism, respectively, into their flesh-munching narratives. The less assured "Land" still offered a savvy metaphor for the paranoia of gated communities, while the slapdash but still admired "Diary" commented on a media- and technology-obsessed youth culture.

It's hard to see, however, what Romero is getting at in "Survival." There seems to be no hidden figure under the carpet here, no serious undertow to counterpoint the eventually repetitive slaughter. By the time the 20th zombie is shot through the head, the characters look outright bored -- as will many auds -- and there's little of the poignancy found in the earlier pics when newly infected loved ones must be slain before they zombify.

It doesn't help that the motivations are so clumsily handled. O'Flynn, for instance, says he sent out the video to get more zombies to go to the island, and so he could make a few bucks out of armed robbery. But he also says he genuinely wanted to help people looking for refuge -- say what? Romero can't have it all ways. 

The script's shallowness would be more forgivable if the direction weren't so inert, the mayhem so off-the-rack, and the whole thing so lacking in, well, scares. This is easily the least frightening of all the "Dead" movies.

Special effects makeup by Francois Dagenais looks appropriately juicy and ghoulish, but then, even the still-living characters have an unhealthy pallor about them. Running time feels longer than it should; other tech credits are subpar.

Let's just start at the beginning. This zombie universe is a tangential one which follows a character created in Diary of the Dead to an island filled with Irish family feuding McCoy types. Their accents were unbelievable, not to mention the fact that the supposed thick Irish drawl still exists in this age off of Delaware, and their acting was amateurish and over the top. And we're just getting started.

All the other actors were pretty bad, from the leads down to the extras. The words that came out of their mouths were poorly written, and the direction was so clearly unrefined, it was as if they had only done one take for each scene.

The zombie makeup, so clearly advanced in Diary of the Dead, was nowhere to be seen. Many of the zombies clearly looked like a simple layer of powder had been applied, as if this were a z-grade zombie film. Worse yet, jarring, grade school CGI was used for some of the better zombie kills.

None of the characters were likeable, and their backgrounds were thinly developed, if at all. Yet somehow, I still wanted to see what would happen in the next scene.

You're probably wanting examples of all the points I'm making, but there's no need. The entire film is the example. The lack of care on the film makers part, mixed with my non-existent expectations created a situatiion in which I actually found it decent. Don't get me wrong, I can't recommend this film. But it really doesn't matter anyways, you're still going to watch it.

skeptičan sam što se tiče ovog filma... ta stara garda je izgleda odsvirala svoje... ostali su zarobljeni u nekom svom vremenu i, nažalost, izgleda da mogu da žive samo od stare slave... to se vidi i na Arđentovom Đijalu...

...lepa, nenadana vest...



Od 22. oktobra - Kolosej ekskluzivno predstavlja čuveni kultni horor NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (Noć živih mrtvaca). Film će se prikazivati samo u multipleksu Kolosej.



,,Noć živih mrtvaca", snimljen 1968. godine, proglašen je najboljim ,,zombi" filmom svih vremena. Jedan od najvećih majstora horora – Džordž Romero stvorio je remek delo koje je naišlo na velike simpatije publike i kritike kao i na čitav niz sledbenika. Četrdeset godina kasnije, tehnologija nam je omogućila da u ovom filmu uživamo u 3D tehnici kao i da ga vidimo u boji. Film se prikazuje bez prevoda.

Night of the Living Dead u boji sam gledo pre nekoliko godina. Imam i DivX. To nije novo.
Zanimljiv eksperiment, ali ja ipak glasam za crno/belo. Ne bi reko da ce 3D tu ista da popravi, naprotiv.

Vaistinu! Zašto popravljati nešto što radi? Pa onda jopet i u 3D.
Tom Savinijeva verzija je bila mnogo bolji štos od prostog prefarbavanja.
Al sve to zajedno ne vredi odjavne špice crno/belog.

hm, ne preterujmo - savinijeva noć je respektabilan i nepravedno skrajnut filmić poprilično bolji od odjavne špice romerove noći.

Sve to zajedno se odnosi na farbanje i 3D tj. popravljanje savršenog, ne na Savinija.

...NOLTD u Koloseju "dok bude bilo interesovanja publike", a po sadašnjem planu - do 17. decembra...

NotLD 3D izgleda užasno, overio sam ga za Noć veštica u Koloseju... Kolorisanje i 3D efekti mu uopšte ne idu u prilog. U "osveženoj" varijanti deluje bedno. Zanimljivo je da se tokom film sala gotovo ispraznila. Ljudi su masovno odlazili. Većina nije bila svesna da će gledati film iz šezdesetih. Možda će zvučati kao svetogrđe, ali iz današnje prerspektove NotLD nije preterano dobar film. Dramske deonice su užasne. Mnogo je gore kada svu tu melodramu i lošu glumu gledate u boji i 3D-u... Baš je trash.

B&W i 2D is the way to go.

NotLD 3D je samo za kompletiste koji ne žale da izdvoje 420 dindži kako bi videli i "to čudo".

A evo i novog trailera za SotD... Karte su ovoga puta bačene na sto, mislim da je sada savim očigledna kavim će nas to filmom GAR počastiti. Znači, zombedija sa užasnim CGI efektima.

420!?! Drago mi je što sam ga onda pogledao za dž uz gratis kokice (u takvudu su bolje), mada sam predremao jedno 15 minuta filma; 3D nema neku poentu, a kolor još manje i samo pojeftinjuje film koji u principu i jeste više istorijski bitan nego što je u pitanju izuzetno ostvarenje gledano za sebe, mada ima tu sjajnih momenata i nevezano za nostalgiju. Zora je objektivno najbolja, ali za ponovna gledanja meni je nekako najdraži Dan.

Po meni su sva tri otprilike izjednačena, s tim da Zora ima najbolju ideju i priču i neke od najboljih scena EVER, samo je malo zeza pretjerano davljenje u nekim scenama i prevelika dužina. Zato kontam da je ona skraćena verzija koju je valjda Arđento montirao remek-djelo genijalnog savršenstva, samo što nikako da nađem vremena da to pogledam, sa ovim silnim romantičnim komendijama i rimejcima legendarnih horora i Distriktom 9 koji danas gledam :-(

Uskoro bi trebalo da se pojavi divx...

Upravo skinuo, perfektan dvdrip, još samo da je i film bar upola toliko dobar...

Pristavljeno, hvala. Mora se priznati da film kome je već naslov paradoks možda može da - paradoksalno - bude dobar... mada se ne nadam previše.

Skidam poslednje parče... Što se mene tiče, neka bude samo bolji od Dnevnika - i ja ću biti zadovoljan. Ipak je ovo šesti deo serijala, a GAR je čovek u (u najmanju ruku) zrelim godinama.

Btw, da budem prvi koji će to napisati: SotD je jedan budalast film. Ima svojih momenata, ali scenario... Jajiks!

...mene je, mada je vidno kvalitetnije izrađeni, a i sdržakniji od DIARY OF THE DEAD, ovaj SotD i razočarao i ugnjavio;  film je očekivano budalast, Romero čak pokušava da udene i satiru, kao i političku poentu koja je upadljivo prvoloptaška i izlišna, trudi se da sve začini pomerajući priču u pravcu nekakvog savremenog New England zombie westerna (ali što se tiče ukrštanja dva poslednja pomenuta žanra, čak je i Albert Puyn to bolje uradio)... sve u svemu, penzija nije predaja, već odraz dostojanstva i samosvesti....

izlišan, zaboravljiv film - mada, gledljiviji od zombi-dnevnika mu.

Pogledao sam i ja Survival of the Dead. Kratak zaključak - kako smo se nadali, dobro smo se udali. Jasno, što je matoriji, Romero postaje sve veći davež i sve bezobraznije nas gađa u facu svojim liberalnim idejama. However, za razliku od apsolutno užasnog prethodnika, ovde imamo likove koji nisu toliko antipatični, MNOGO manje kenjaže i zdravu količinu humora - scena sa obračunom na mjesečini me je skoro pa oduševila! Naravno, daleko je ovo od originalne trilogije, čak i od Zemlje mrtvih, pa čak i od rimejka Zore, ali je neuporedivo bolje od Dnevnika. Možda bi Romero, ako ikad odluči da snimi novi nastavak, mogao da napravi solidnu zombi komediju?

Odgledao sam ga i ja prije nekoliko dana, i ne mogu da se osvijestim koliko je ovo loš film. Ispod svakog nivoa, Romero će uspjeti da mi ogadi filmove o zombijima ako ovako nastavi. Dnevnik, srećom, nijesam gledao.

Pričalo se da će Romero režirati neke od epizoda zombi TV serije THE WALKING DEAD. Možda ćemo ipak dobiti priliku da ga vidimo kako radi nešto relevantno. Ova poslednja 2 filma su zaista bezveze, naročito ako se uporede s njegovim klasičnim ostvarenjima.

Moj kont je da se baba svih Zombija preforsirao. Takođe, mislim da nikad nije ni znao šta hoće sa svojim klepetalim kefalima natrulog mesa, zombijima.

Imamo njegov The Crazies iz '73.-e, u kome nije jasno ni definisao sadašnju prirodu njegovih lešina.
Onda napravi Bum u cinema horor žanru, pa sve to pokvari onim drugim delom, mislim da se zove dan mrtvih. Ostali delovi, čista komercijala, da bi na kraju, sa ovim ostrvskim špageti western cirkusom, umotan u škotsku (ili beše irsku) celofansku tvrdoglavost dokazao da je babi vreme za penziju.

Taj eksperiment mu nikako nije trebao. Ako se ne "izvadi" sa nekom boljom produkcijom, i usmeri svoje zombije "na pravi put", neće krunisati svoju karijeru, bogme!

Ipak, jedan je babo, makar i izlapeo, tako da uprkos svemu mogu reći da je Romero ostavio jako upečatljiv trag u hororu.
Koliko god puta klonirali Milu Jovović u RE serijalu, zna se ko joj je babo!
