Mi sa pejsmejkerima i oni sa brojnim satelitima prvi link čitaju ozbiljno. Znamo i zašto. Plus, Rusi dijamantskog praha imaju i za bacanje. Zamislite satelite bez velike površine solarnih ploča koje se lako oštete i posle padaju na glave. Kao kolibri i albatros.

Imao sam kućnu raspravu o raspoloživim i nepoželjnim i o obnovljivim energetskim izvorima. Mislim da sam uspeo da objasnim u kome grmu leži zec. Ako sam uspeo da objasnim. Najpre smo divanili o Ilonu Masku i solarnoj energiji. Jesu njegove solarne ploče i solarni crep fenomenalni izvori, ali će vremenom račun da ispostavi abrazija, odnosno prirodna erozija, jer kad nema sunca ima kiše, a sa kišom, pored žaba ponekad pada i pesak iz Sahare. Na drugoj strani, video sam i proračune da samo komadić Sahare može da zadovolji energetske potrebe čitave Zemlje. Naravno, kao i u bilo čemu drugom postoji i problem. Neću pominjati da će opet Arapima da se zalomi premija, nego da je muka u skladištenju i distribuciji, a o naplati eksploatacije takvog sistema da ne govorim.


Posebna je priča o vetrenoj energiji. Samo bi košava mogla da izduva pola potreba Srbije. Međutim, priča je bila o istoj toj energiji u Oklahomi, mogli bi čudo da izvuku iz Tornado Alley, ali muku muče i sa gasom i naftom za koje nikako da reše transport, pa se proizvođači bore protim vetra. Negde iz rukava su izvukli i argument da će transportni sistem vetrene energije da ugrozi satelitsku kontrolu poljoprivrednika nad uzgojem svojih zasada! Sad su i seljaci protiv.


Ipak, ja bih istakao da obnovljive energije ima na pretek, ali da se sezonsko kolebanje tih izvora kosi sa prednošću stabilnog sistema transporta hidro i termo energije u svetu. Za uspešnu zamenu trebaće nam sasvim novi sistem distribucije energije.

Dok forum ZS ponovo ne potone u gomilu gluposti, nešto sasvim drugačije.


Sasvim je zgodan zaključak klimatskog modela da će wind and solar farms uvećati šansu za kišu i porast vegetacije u Sahari. Ne bih sada o tome da je više uradio jedan domorodac sa oboda Sahare koji 30 godina sadi drveće i gura pustinju unazad. Mnogo zgodnija je jedna moja nenapisana priča iz vremena kad se sve kucalo na mašini. A svideće se i Mići.


Tih godina je Energoprojekt ugovorio sa Gadafijem istraživanje mogućnosti eksloatacije voda koje 30.000 godina imaju trasu od kišnih šuma Konga. Nisam siguran da je Gadafi imao ideju da revitalizuje pistinju, nego pre da iskoristi taj potencijal na brzaka.


I tako, izbušili naši niz piezobunara i prema ugovoru vršili nadzor četiri puta godišnje. Sve je bilo u redu dok neki javaš ekspert nije došao na ideju da dva puta ne meri, nego da vrednosti ekstrapoliše. Naravno, Gadafi ih ulovio i otkazao ugovor bez plaćanja ugovorenih suma novca. Uvek smo bili sposobni da sami sebe zajebemo.


No, nastranu istinita priča, ideja moje nenapisane priče je bila da se od te vode podigne sistem veštačkih oaza i tako smanji toplotni pritisak na pustinju i dozovu kiše. I tako, sad jedino domorodac sadi šumu, a klimatolozi procenjuju da bi efekat smanjenja osunčane površine pustinje izazvao isti efekat. :x

China wants to put a solar farm in space by 2025

According to China's state-backed Science and Technology Daily, Chinese scientists plan to build and launch small power stations into the stratosphere between 2021 and 2025, upgrading to a megawatt-level station in 2030 and a gigawatt-level facility high above the earth before 2050. Without atmospheric interference or night-time loss of sunlight, these space-based solar farms could provide an inexhaustible source of clean energy. The China Academy of Space Technology Corporation claims such a set-up could "reliably supply energy 99 per cent of the time, at six-times the intensity" of solar installations on earth.
China's proposal suggests converting solar energy into electricity in space, before beaming back to Earth using a microwave or laser and feeding into the grid via a ground receiving system.

The idea behind the XNRGI battery is an unconventional one, depicted in a two-minute explainer video and five-page white paper [PDF] from the company. The etched silicon wafers, which are later coated with lithium and other metals to form anodes and cathodes, contain forests of micro-sized batteries on each silicon wafer. Think of each "micro-battery" as an elongated hollow box with a 20 x 20 micron footprint. The cathode and anode are the top and bottom half of that hollow box, separated by some distance from each other. No individual micro-battery, Hallquist says, contains enough charge current to form substantial dendrites or other structures that could arc the positive and negative ends of the battery.



And each 12-inch silicon wafer consists of some 36 million of these vertical "micro-batteries" machined into the wafer's surface. Which, as the explainer video argues, decreases the charge time of the macro-battery (made up of many micro-batteries) as well as the manufacturing cost of the technology, as it's based on already scaled-up silicon fabrication processes used in computer chip manufacturing today.

The ability to generate electricity at night could be a fundamentally enabling capability for a wide range of applications, including lighting and low-power sensors. Here, we demonstrate a low-cost strategy to harness the cold of space through radiative cooling to generate electricity with an off-the-shelf thermoelectric generator. Unlike traditional thermoelectric generators, our device couples the cold side of the thermoelectric module to a sky-facing surface that radiates heat to the cold of space and has its warm side heated by the surrounding air, enabling electricity generation at night. We experimentally demonstrate 25 mW/m2 of power generation and validate a model that accurately captures the device's performance. Further, we show that the device can directly power a light emitting diode, thereby generating light from the darkness of space itself.
