A što se tiče tvoje izjave, smatram da si u krivu; ako je suditi po ovoj poeckom prdežu, rekla bih da je Lavkraftov stav utemeljen na dogmi, najverovatnije religijskoj. Estetsko gnušanje je tu pre posledica nego uzrok jasno formiranog rasističkog stava.

Želim samo da napomenem da se smatram zaslužnim za ovu potonju (vrlo plodnu) diskusiju o rasizmu, koju sam potegao svojim postom o E.A. Pou.
Što se tiče riječi "nigger" - roman Deset malih crnaca se u originalu zove Ten Little NIGGERS. Pisan je, vjerujem, nakon što je Lavkraft odapeo, mada je moguće da griješim pošto ne znam hronologiju baš najtačnije. Pitanje je: Da li je i Agata Kristi bila izrazito bezobrazni rasista ili je Ghoul u pravu oko termina nigger ili važi čak i više, namely da nigger tada uopšte nije bila pogrdna riječ nego da je jednostavno označavala crnu rasu, kao danas negro?

Danas je i "negro" pogrdno. Sećam se da sam pre par godina na netu čitao kako se neka crnkinja žalila jer je došla u posed Krašovih "Negro" bombona. Pokušaću da nađem taj članak.

Inače, ja sam '80-ih kao klinac na Insitutu za strane jezike 'ladno učio da se "crnac" kaže "negro", ali je sada PC reći "black" ili "African".

To sa "uvredljivim" nazivima je samo dodatno silovanje ionako debilnog koncepta pod imenom politička korektnost. Očigledan idiotizam ogleda se u faktu da sad, eto, nije "prikladno" da kažeš crnac nego je "pravi" naziv Afroamerikanac (mislim da je u jednoj od epizoda South Parka bila sjajna šala na ovu temu), a bijelce i dalje nazivaju bijelcima, a ne Evroamerikancima, što bi po istoj logici bilo pravilno.*
Takođe, da i ne spominjemo dvije najidiotskije kovanice, koje čine Nesveto Trojstvo sa pojmom kolateralna šteta - "obrnuti rasizam" i "obrnuti terorizam".

* Doduše, koristi se ono Caucasian (što nemam pojma šta znači), što me naravno podsjeća na Naked Hun 2 1/2:

"How would you describe the guy?"
"Well, he's Caucasian..."
"Caucasian?"
"Yeah. You know, white guy."
"Ah!"
"Bald, moustache, about six feet tall..."
"Pretty big moustache."

Interesantno, baš juče gledam Fawlty Towers i odjednom nailazi serija niggera i ostalih pogrdnih izraza i padne mi na pamet kako nema šanse da tako nešto snime danas.
Ili, kako je to rekao legendarni Ian Anderson na jednom koncertu, prije izvođenja legendarne pjesme Fat Man:

Nije nepravilno nazvati chamugu Black u Americi niti je uveredljivo. Nigger jeste. Kod Belaca isto, White nije, ali recimo Cracker jeste.

Uostalom nigger je i najslabiji. Ima recimo 'coon (skraceno od racoon).
