hmmm...

A strange, largely inert indie thriller, Don McKay  has got good bones (inspired by Blood Simple, it has a solid cast and a strong pitch) but a terrible metabolism.

"Don McKay" is meant to be an odd film, but it's odd for the wrong reasons. Actors inhabit the film's spaces awkwardly, as if these were not the sets they rehearsed in. Scenes play in a half-halting manner with too much dead space surrounding the actors. Then their characters keep doing strange things, which one assumes will be explained later. When those explanations arrive, their actions make even less sense.

As with that "Double Indemnity" shopping scene, you recognize the allusion, smile (or not) and wait for the payoff. The problem is that for the reference to have any meaningful resonance you need to be familiar with the Wilder film, which in turn sets up a level of expectation that Mr. Goldberger and the cast can't meet...

Nakon što sam nekako pogledao ono Smitovo nedelo do kraja ne želim da više bilo gde vidim Trejsija Morgana, tako da definitivno nikada neću pogledati 30 Rock, ma koliko ga pojedini hvalili.

Alek Boldvin se totalno riimedzinovao poslednjih godina, i sada mi je, za razliku od njegovog ljigavog perioda iz 90tih, jedna od vecih faca, ponajvishe zahvaljujuci 30 Rocku. I ovaj povratak u mejnstrim je rezultat dobro odradjenog kambeka.

...prva obavest se odnosila na DVD screeener koji je čitavim tokom imao blurrovanu 'property of' oznaku u donjem delu slike, ova druga obavest je za sasvim zadovoljavajući R5  (uz to na 1,4 GB zapremine)...

Sa R5, ali zvuk je, koliko sam mogao prochitati po netu, KATASTROFALAN. Siguran sam da ce u skorije vreme leakovati neki skriner sa dobrim audiom koji ce se dati na ovo prilepiti, pa chekam tu verziju.

...ILYPM kruži već danima, ali je zvuk zbilja užasan, kako je američka DVD premijera odgođena, jedina nada za skoro uprizoravanje ovog R5 izdanja je da se neko pomuči oko audio zapisa barem u smislu LINE tona (audio zapisa preuzetog putem slušalica za one sa oštećenim sluhom)...eto, šta sve čovek neće naučiti!
