Jeepers, creepers....where'd ya get them peepers?

Victor Salva se ne predaje. Pripreme za snimanje trećeg dela JC serijala su u punom zamahu, a izgleda da će cast lista biti upotpunjena nekim poznatim licima.

Ray Wise i Johnatan Creeper Breck će ponovo zaigrati na staru melodiju, ali to nije sve...

Gina Phillips je (gotovo pa) otvorila srce momcima sa BD sajta: "I will say that, I can't talk about it, but I can say we are in talks. There is a script and there is work being done on it. Here's the thing, I also produce films, when I have my producer hat on ...that's my job, and when I have my actor hat on, then that's my job, I try not to intervene unless you have a director who wants your opinion. The great thing about Victor is that he is very collaborative. He not only wanted my input, he almost demanded it, It was always like what do you think what do you think. I trust him and I think he is a very talented writer. If things are to come together, and he wants my input... I have a lot to say!"

Prva dva dela (2001, 2003) su zaradila ozbiljne pare tokom bioskopske distribucije, a bili su i veliki DVD hitovi.

Creepers fans get ready: the third chapter of the saga created by Victor Salva is ready to fly. "The script, now titled JEEPERS CREEPERS III: CATHEDRAL, is about to enter preproduction at MGM and does include a prologue in the Old West where we see how the Creeper became a frightening part of cowboy and Native American folklore," Salva tells Fango. For the third assault, one of the best screen creatures of recent years comes back even more fetishist and disturbing than ever. After a brief stop in the past, the script picks up exactly where JEEPERS II left off, with a new 23rd spring only a day away. "I will say," Salva reveals, "that one aspect of the third film features Trish Jenner [again played by Gina Philips from the original film], who, 23 years later, has a teenage son of her own, named Darry after her long lost brother. Trish is having a terrible recurring dream where her son meets the same terrible fate as her brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, Trish is determined to stop the Creeper once and for all."

Salva, who contributed the IN SICKNESS & IN HEALTH episode of FEAR ITSELF this summer, is really excited about the story and promises a lot of surprises. "The other elements of the story, which easily make JEEPERS CREEPERS III the biggest film of the three, include some of the scariest and most intense Creeper stuff we have ever attempted," he says.

As for the word "CATHEDRAL" appearing in the title, the director doesn't want to explain the enigma but he notes that "it is a large part of the film created especially for all our loyal JEEPERS CREEPERS fans. The new JEEPERS—JEEPERS THREEPERS as we affectionately refer to it around here—brings back all the classic ideas of the first film, but brings them horrifyingly full circle. It also revisits characters from both films [Ray Wise from II returns, as does Creeper actor Jonathan Breck], lets us learn more about what the Creeper is and, by popular demand, reintroduces the infamous Creeper truck." Ovo mi se ne sviđa, ali u svakom slučaju pozdravljam iskazanu ambicioznost.

Ma projekat je dugo bio mrtav, a rezija nije bila u rukama Salve, mada se je vratio i sad je kao u pre-produkciji, ocekujem smece...

Ma druze sad je sa Salvom, nisi procitao prethodnu poruku, prvo je trebao da ide pravo na TV za Sci-Fi kanal, ali sad je valjda nabudzen (nasli su pare)

Pročitao sam. Sve je OK. Nešto se nismo razumeli.

The two "Jeepers Creepers" movies are underrated horror gems in my opinion. The first one, in particular, is just great stuff, managing to both conform to genre conventions and at the same time busting it wide open. (Who saw the police station attack sequence coming? I didn't.) The second one had its moments, but overall I thought it could have been better. All that said, a third "Jeepers Creepers" has been talked about for a while, and now Salva confirms that they are just getting the money together, and, if all goes well, will be in production very, very soon.

In an interview with the spooks at Dread Central, Salva also confirms the return of Gina Philips' character, who will be taking the lead in the third entry. Not just her, but her son. Yup, according to Salva, it's now 23 years later and Philips' character Trish is older, wiser, and a total MILF. She now has a teenage son named Darry, who is, of course, named after her dead brother (played by Justin Long in the original).

Salva also confirms that Jonathan Breck will return as the Creeper, though he doesn't mention anything about Ray Wise's character from the second film. And oh yeah, for you Creeper fans, the winged badass will also be getting his truck back to roam the American heartland looking for victims. After all, if you got wheels, why fly?

Na šta aludiraš? Siguran sam da je taj tinejdžer neophodan zbog umjetničkog integriteta priče!

Javlja mi se da će u nekom trenutku neki tinejdžer biti go do pojasa. Taj detalj ne mora biti bitan po priču, mada može, ali će svakako biti zbog vizuelnog... identiteta.

Pa ne bih baš rekao da se kod Salve radi o nekom autorskom potpisu. Mislim da je u pitanju jednostavno - realizam. Prethodni film se dešavao za vrijeme velikih vrućina i normalno je da su tinejdžeri odlučili da se obuku malo... laganije. Moguće da će i u ovom biti nešto slično.

Zaista ne mogu da zamislim Salvu da režira nešto što se događa u hladnim predelima. Ili bi mogao?    Mogao bi da snimi nešto o vađenju krsta iz ladne vode na Bogojavljane na Adi. Bio sam letos jednom na snimanju "Kraljeva Ade" i stvarno je dobar horor setting.

Meni je taj Jeepers Creepers odmah prirastao srcu. Jedva čekam novi film (sa tinejdžetima ili bez njih).

"JEEPERS CREEPERS 3" confirmed to roll next year

The human-harvesting monster will finally see his trilogy completed as the long-mooted JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 was launched today at the Toronto Film Festival.

Variety reports that the second sequel to Victor Salva's 2001 hit will shoot in Vancouver in the first quarter of 2016. Myriad Pictures announced today that it is backing the movie and beginning international sales at the Toronto Fest, with Salva returning again to write and direct. Jonathan Breck will also make a threepeat playing the Creeper, and Brandon Smith will reprise his role of Sergeant Davis Tubbs from the first film, here joining a task force determined to destroy the Creeper on the last of its 23 days of feeding on body parts. Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope, which produced the first two movies, is partnering on this one with Odyssey Media and The Cartel. It was announced a few years back that Salva would shoot a film titled JEEPERS CREEPERS 3: CATHEDRAL, and it's unclear at this point whether the new movie will be based on the same concept/script.
