Battlefield 3 je inače prodo 5 milijuna kopija za tjedan dana. Zvuči kao neverovatan uspeh (na ovu krizu!!!)  i jeste u pitanje najbrže prodavano izdanje EA ikad, ali čekajmo da Aktivižn dropuje Modern Warfare 3 za koji tjedan. Mislim, Black Ops je prošle godine prodao pet milijuna za jedan dan.

Ja, naravno BF3 nemam nameru da igram nešto mnogo, to jest, skinuću Xbox 360 pirata da vidim singl plejer kampanju kad riflešujem kutiju, ali na PCju i multiplejer, to neće skoro da me vidi. Em mi se ne instalira Origin, em mi se ne instalira Windows 7...

Ma, pržio sam ja to sve preko imgburn, sve radi super, samo dual layer dvd ima 7,96gb, a igra valjda zauzima 8,1gb. Shvatate li sad u čemu je štos?

Znate da će danas biti premijerno emitovan trejler za GTA V. Ali da li znate da jedna konsultantska firma špekuliše da bi ovo mogao biti prvi AAA naslov koji bi bio distribuiran samo digitalnim putem, bez diskova u prodavnicama? Sad, ja prosto ne mogu da verujem da bi se baš Take Two igrali sa tim kad to već ne radi Activision ili EA ili infernalni Ubisoft, ali vredi razmisliti.

Mrzi me da sad kačim ovde onu fejspalm sliku.

A Kođima uvek tako izgleda, istina je, mada kapiram da u Japanu taj arogantni, feminizirani izgled kod čoveka od 45 ili tako nešto godina, ume da bude mega seksi.

I, eto, dropovao je trejler za GTA V

Kao što se da videti, vraćamo se u San Andreas (konkretno Los Santos ali možda bude i okoline i drugih gradova) a Internet trenutno diskutuje je li narator koji se čuje u trejleru Tommy Vercetti. Potvrđeno je da glas NIJE Ray Liotta ali to ništa ne znači. Ovo bi svakako mogao biti Tommy Vercetti jer je on ipak mnogo stariji danas nego u GTA Vice City koja se događala sredinom osamdesetih. Plus, u trejleru se vide ljudi koji bi mogli biti i CJ i Niko Belić i šuška se da će ovo biti prvi GTA u kome ćemo igrati kao više likova, što me opet podseća na smer u kome je otšao Yakuza 4 i ne mogu da kažem da nema logike: GTA IV je naglašeno otišao u smeru pričanja priče i građenja likova i čvršći narativ u kome se nekoliko poznatih i dragih likova udružuje da šta već - opljačkaju banku, odbrane čast ili već nešto, imalo bi to smisla (uostalom, sjajno je funkcionisalo u Yakuza 4).

Takođe, igra izgleda prelepo. Možda bude launch title za Xbox 720??? Ne bi me PRETERANO čudilo.

Sony stvarno nema stida  :lol:  Nintendo je prošle (?) godine najavio kontroler koji će meriti biometrijske podatke igrača i evo sad i Sony patentira sličnu stvar.

Mislim, zar ću morati igre da igram u rukavicama da bih imao malo mira od njihovih debilnih ideja??? Jebote, pa valjda je dovoljno to što sam ja kao igrač pod stresom, ne mora valjda i moj avatar da se stresira??? Mislim, ne kažem da Hideo Kođima ne bi ovde umeo da napravi nešto zanimljivo, ali jedan je Kođima. Već su nas dovoljno maltretirali sa motion kontrolama...

Jebiga, ja sam star čovek i izgleda da igre shvatam više kao... igre a manje kao iskustva i moram da priznam da su moje fiziloške reakcije na njih retko osetne (skakanje pulsa, jače znojenje), tako da je za mene ovo totalni gimik. Da ne pominjem da kada actually odreagujem na igru na primetan način (na primer kada me odvale u Strit Fajteru dok igram onlajn), poslednje što želim je da ona zbog toga postane teža za kontrolisanje. Ili lakša, svejedno.

Four pieces of concept have appeared that may well be storyboard art for Thief 4. The game is being kept tightly under wraps, but is being developed by the creators of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Eidos Montreal. A storyboard artist who works for Goldtooth (who did the cutscenes for Deus Ex: Human Revolution) posted four images on his blog, which has since been taken down. Luckily for us, the internet never forgets, and they since re-appeared over on Screw Attack. They show a hooded figure that may or not be Garrett stealthing his way into a mansion to access an ominous steam powered door. See all four pages below.

Zašto Assassin's Creed film nikad neće biti napravljen? Ubisoft zahteva previsok nivo kontrole nad njim:

Another studio exec involved said that while they understand Ubisoft's need to guard their baby, "they're not moviemakers, and the only way to make sure it's a bad movie is to undervalue what movie studios do — and this is a deal that totally undervalues what movie studios do."

A Hollywood agent who represents a different game company put it more bluntly: "The whole Ubisoft/Sony deal is a waste of ink, paper and time. The level of control Sony gave up means, effectively, that Assassin's Creed will never — and I mean never — get made."

So why did Sony say yes? Vulture says it's because Ubisoft is footing most of the development costs so Sony is only looking at a small percentage of expenses on a movie with broad-based appeal and a built-in fanbase. Time will tell who made the right bet.

Actor Bruce Greenwood Is Modern Warfare 3's Overlord

Kennedy in Thirteen Days, Commander Pike in Star Trek, and Batman/Bruce Wayne in Young Justice, but nothing prepared him for his first video game role. Greenwood, who is currently filming ABC's new TV series The River in Hawaii and Flight with Denzel Washington in Atlanta, makes his video game debut with Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Greenwood, who has never played a game in his life, took the virtual plunge based on the character of the Overlord. In this exclusive interview, the actor takes a break from his grueling schedule of flying across the world every week to explain why video games like Call of Duty are not only entertainment, but an art form.


How did you get involved in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3?

It's an incredibly strong game. The whole of the architecture of the game is just so strong and the characters are really distinct. My experience with video games is relatively limited. I read the copy and just thought, "wow, this could be a lot of fun." This guy is distant from all the action, but he sees the big picture. He's connected to all the risks they're taking and he can get the whole picture at a glance. He knows more than the player and more than the participants what the pitfalls are and where the traps are.

Do you prepare differently when you're bringing a video game character to life compared to a film or television character?

I would imagine if I had some pitted dialogue with guys that didn't have to obey me, I would prepare like I prepare normally for a character and figure out what the emotional level of the scene is and how that stuff shifts around. But with the Overlord, he's delivering a lot of information that he has to make really, really clear so that they don't get their brains blown out. So it's a different kind of preparation. You read through it and get a beat from the director and what the intensity levels are, and he helps you sort of sculpt that stuff. Besides that, my experience with this was going to be pretty limited, so I really let the director guide me.

Did they show you visuals of what was going on in the game as you worked in the recording studio?

They sent me visuals of a bunch of stuff that they put together. Not all of the sequences that we actually were acting in were available to us, but you get the tone really, really quickly. They ran through a bunch of the game that hadn't been released yet and it was just mind-blowing. The detail and the physical architecture of the game is just so involved and the storytelling shifts depending on the choices they make. That's what makes it so incredibly exciting.



What are your thoughts about the opportunities that are out there today that video games provide to actors?

I think the opportunities will become greater and greater as the motion capture thing evolves and as facial recognition stuff evolves. I think we're going to be called upon to do really complicated emotional things that you would think totally can be filmed and are only left on film. But in fact it can be translated into to a digital domain. At some point, there's going to be a crossover where you almost can't tell the difference between a game and a film.

What did you learn about video games as an art form while working on this game?

That it's an art form. I mean honestly, I was completely floored. I had no idea. It's like visiting Oz or something. I was astounded. I was dumbfounded. And now it just makes me want to try them out. I don't know jack about playing video games. I really don't. My hobbies are guitar playing and ancient sh*t like that.

Activision also has the Guitar Hero games.

Did you ever play a video game when you were younger?

I didn't play a damn thing. It wasn't in my world. I missed it by a half a generation.

Having never played games before, what was it that made you decide to jump into the gaming world with Call of Duty?

It's the first time I'd ever been asked. I gave it some thought for a second and I talked to Activision and looked at the game and said, "God, I'm in." I had no idea what they could do with games today.

What has the reaction been like working on one of the biggest games of all time?

It has completely blown my mind. I've done a lot of movies and I'll call my nephews up and tell them I just finished a movie with so and so. And their reaction is always, "whatever." So I called and told them I was doing Modern Warfare 3, and they just sh*t. They totally flipped out. I had no idea. They couldn't have been more surprised if I'd called and said I'd been elected President of Paraguay.

Da, dobar tekst i vredi se još jednom zapitati u vezi težine u savremenim igrama. Mislim, ja sam generalno spazz i nemam ni vremena mnogo pa u tom smislu ne tvrdim da SVE igre treba da budu teške (pogotovo ove koje ide uglavnom na iskustvo umesto na "pravo" igranje - Uncharted, Limbo itd.), ali nema sumnje u to da je u današnje vreme, između pokušaja da se umiliš novim igračima i trošenja vremena na dizajniranje kinematskih momenata, veoma teško dizajnirati propisnu težinu za igru. Dakle, da bude izazov a da ne bude nefer.

Ono što je OK je da su izbačene veštačke frustracije: igre generalno čekpointuju progres sasvim ljudski tako da nema mnogo potrebe da prelazite jedan isti deo po pet minuta sto puta pre nego što vas bos ubije. Takođe, obnavljajuće zdravlje znači da ne morate posle borbe koju ste jedva preživeli da strepite od normalno bezopasnih situacija.

Ali ipak... Evo, upravo igram Deus Ex Human Revolution: The Missing Link DLC i, mada je to vrlo zadovoljavajuće dizajnirana kampanjica, ja moram da igram ne-letalni prelazak bez ikakvih augmentacija da bih uopšte imao izazov. S obzirom da me igra zasipa vatrenim oružjem i praksis poenima, mogu misliti na šta bi ličilo da instaliram augmentacije i odlučim da ljudski životi nisu vredni čuvanja..

U, ja sam bas vise puta razmisljao kako mi nedostaju bas ovi momenti.

Inace, ja sam se uvek pitao cemu tolika frka, kao zar nisu zato uveli u praistorjska vremena Easy, Nomal i Hard. U jednostavnom i idealnom svetu, Easy bi bio ovo sto ti opisujes u Deus Exu, a Hard bi bio Demon's Souls. I tako za svaku igru.

Pa, da, ali u čemu je razlika između Izi, Normal i Hard? Samo u šteti koju nanose neprijatelji (jedan metak ti na hard uzima više poena zdravlja nego na normal) ili imaju bolje AI rutine? Velika su to dizajnerska pitanja...

Heh... Mass Effect 3 beta je iscurela na X-Box Live pre par dana, greškom Majkrosofta pa je tom prilikom utvrđenod a će igra, izgleda imati tri moda. Action, Story i RPG. Action mod će biti podešen tako da se ne zamajavate sa konverzacijama, to jest Šepard će davati automatske odgovore u njima (kao da gledate obične kinematike), ali će imati normalnu težinu igranja. Story mod će imati konverzacije ali smanjenu težinu igranja - za nežne dušice koje žele da vide priču do kraja i da li će se njih dvoje uzeti, ali im je teško da se izbore sa hordama intergalaktičkih zavojevača, a RPG mod će biti ono klasično...

Jebemti. Black Ops je prodao pet milijuna za jedan dan. A sada devet!!! Doduše, Modern Warfare ima najbolji brend rekognišn. Mislim, mrzeli mi Aktivižn ili ne, ali Bobi i kompanija znaju šta rade.

Aktivižn ima takvu reputaciju da čak i to što se Modern Warfare 3 prodaje kao blesav ne pomaže da ga hejteri ne zatrpaju na metakritiku. Čak je i jedan od developera na twitteru zavapio (mada sad ne vidim taj tvit, možda ga je sklonio???) da zadovoljni igrači na metakritiku daju visoke ocene jer su skorovi za  MW 3 trenutno:

Sad, nama to možda zvuči kao dobro zezanje, ali činjenica je da investitori gledaju metakritik skorove... Naravno, MW3 će do kraja godine verovatno prodati petnaest milijuna kopija, ali loš metakritik skor sigurno donosi nepropspavane noći Kotiku i ekipi...

A message from Valve's Gabe Newell reveals that an online intrusion has taken place, and that Steam users' accounts may be at risk, including their credit card information.

A message from Valve Software's Gabe Newell warns that the Steam database has been compromised. The database contains a ton of sensitive customer information including user names and passwords, billing addresses, and encrypted credit card information. Valve stresses that they're currently investigated the extent of the intrusion.

Here's Valve official statement:

Dear Steam Users and Steam Forum Users,

Our Steam forums were defaced on the evening of Sunday, November 6. We began investigating and found that the intrusion goes beyond the Steam forums.

We learned that intruders obtained access to a Steam database in addition to the forums. This database contained information including user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses and encrypted credit card information. We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords was cracked. We are still investigating.

We don't have evidence of credit card misuse at this time. Nonetheless you should watch your credit card activity and statements closely.

While we only know of a few forum accounts that have been compromised, all forum users will be required to change their passwords the next time they login. If you have used your Steam forum password on other accounts you should change those passwords as well.

We do not know of any compromised Steam accounts, so we are not planning to force a change of Steam account passwords (which are separate from forum passwords). However, it wouldn't be a bad idea to change that as well, especially if it is the same as your Steam forum account password.

We will reopen the forums as soon as we can.

I am truly sorry this happened, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
