TRAILER: "Nomina Domini" – A Creepy Adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's "The The Nine Billion Names of God"

Ivan Engler's 2000 graduation film, Nomina Domini: The Names of the Lord, is quite good. It's a loose adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke's classic short story "The Nine Billion Names of God". Here, a computer technican is called to a monastary to fix a computer tasked with reciting the names of God to prevent the opening of the gates of Hell.

Movies have had them for almost as long as there have been movies and now that books are going electronic, more books are getting them too. We're talking about the increasing use of book trailers to generate interest. This week's question for our panelists, suggested by an SF Signal reader, is:

Q: What do you think are the pros and cons of book trailers? Are they effective at promoting books?

Odlično! Što se mene tiče, nemam ništa protiv. Pod uslovom da trejler bude dobro urađen. Ne može da škodi. Primetio sam da je sve više domaćih trejlera... Laguna naročito prednjači, puštaju ih, ponekad, čak i pre filma u bioskopu.

Trejleri za romane često podsećaju na fejk trejlere za filmove - znate taj rad... kada se snimi samo materijal potreban za trejler kako bi se zainteresovali ulagači i prikupila sredstva za film.

Trejler za Crne cipele? To je zapravo ona B92 reklama?

Inače, jedan od mojih omiljenih book trailera je:

Pa, ne, snimili smo duži materijal a za reklamu je skraćeno.

Verovatno sam pobrkao sa reklamom za Kičmu noći. Hajde, pojuri taj trejler za CC. Baš bih voleo da vidim.

evo jedan interesantan ,moglo je i bolje ,ali nije ni ovako lose.

trejler je zajebana stvar
moze se napraviti da deluje donekle hronoloski,  amoze se napraviti da navede gledaoca da skonta potpuno drugaciju sliku o filmu ili u ovom slucaju / knjizi
nista im ja ne verujem
ali opet, video ce lakse dopreti do vece publike koja ce se zainteresovati za knjigu, tako da glasam ZA trejlere

mada, pitanje koliko mogu da zaboravim kako neko izgleda u trejleru kada pocnem da citam knjigu, ponekad uzasno smeta ako su likovi u mojoj glavi drugaciji

Mada ovo bas i ne spada u knjige (a narocito u knjizevnost) evo trejlera za epizodu Bozze Vampira kojeg sam napravio jos prosle godine

kada sam bio dokon. Nazalost jos je nisam "napisao" ali barem imam gde da vidim o cemu se radi

Teško je po dobroj knjizi napraviti dobar film, a tek trejler ! Trejler neće u svakom slučaju privući publiku, može ispasti upravo suprotno. Mene su neki filmovi dugo (i sasvim nepravedno) odbijali od čitanja knjige.

Pa, kad tako postaviš, to se onda svodi na dilemu prevođenja dela iz jednog medija u drugi. I ja lično negujem skepsu po tom pitanju, ali ipak, ne mogu da negiram da se sve to na kraju ipak svede na kvalitet uratka, tako da...

Još nisam naišao na situaciju da je film bolji od knjige po kojoj je snimljen.

 ... eh, baš me čudi da ti, kao ljubitelj Kinga, takvo mišljenje imaš o ekranizacijama. 


edit: htedoh reći da su meni mnoge ekranizacije po Kingovim romanima znatno bolje negoli sami predlošci.

Jesam ljubitelj Kinga ali nisam gledao puno filmova koji su radjeni po njegovim pričama i romanima. Smislio sam da odradim jednu knjigu jedan film i to redom kako je koji roman izašao, pročitao sam Keri al nikako da pogledam film

To jeste dobra ideja, pogotovo ako kreneš sa Mizeri, Isijavanjem i Keri, a onda uzduž i popreko slabije produkcije, od Pet Sematary pa dokle stigneš. Doduše, ova moja preporuka neće važiti za bilo kakve rimejke, odmah da se ogradim. 

Možda krenem kad izadje ova nova Keri al pvo pogledam staru pa onda novu. Sve filmove i serijice već imam na HD samo čekaju Play dugme.

imam ovaj UNSEAMING, dobio sam ga za pisanje rivjua za RUE MORGUE, bacam se u njega ovih dana.
javlja mi se da je opasna stvar (zato sam ga i tražio) a dao sam ga piševu da onjuši, i on kaže da ima tu odličnih stvari.
