Pa, nije da Bill nije poznat po periodičnom apdejtovanju FLA formule kako bi (sa par godina zakašnjenja) ispratio razvoje u savremenoj plesnoj muzici. Samo unapred nagađam da će ovo biti "dubstep" na tragu Skrillexa i ostale američke brostep ekipe, pre nego nešto pristojno. Ali hajde, hajde da čujemo.  :lol:

more in common with the recent live show
by Happa and Al Gill or even Alberich
records than any of the home listening
lot. We reckon a many of you will be
shocked in the best possible way, don't
sleep on this!

džangl/ju-kej hardkor/rejv renesansa je u punom jeku, i to mi prilično godi. tu su nove snage koje inspiraciju traže u ranim hardkor danima (poslušati novi album Paul Woolford-a pod pseudonimom Special Request, poslednja dva izdanja holandske izdavačke kuće R-Zone i sl.), a ovde imamo jednog pravog predstavnika stare škole. interesantno je da Manix (poznat i kao Marc Mac, deo 4 Hero, Jacobs Optical Stairway, ...) tek sada izdaje album, iako mu je vrhunac karijere bio na samom početku 90-tih. kada se ne bi gledao datum proizvodnje ovog albuma, komotno bi se moglo zaključiti da je ovaj uradak nastao upravo na vrhuncu popularnosti džangla i hardkora, odnosno tih ranih 90-tih. esenciajlno slušanje!!!

sva tri prethodna albuma su bila u najmanju ruku solidna, ovaj mi zvuči kao dosadno, samo povlađivačko sranje. izlazak ovog albuma je pratio izvesni hajp, gde su neki tvrdili da je ovo poslednji Actress-ov album, pa su curele neke pesme navodno sa albuma, za koje se kasnije ispostavilo da se ne nalaze na finalnoj verziji albuma, a na sajtovima prodavaca muzike nisu bili dostupni privju semplovi do samog momenta izlaska albuma, dok je preorder sasvim normalno funkcionisao.

i šta dobismo na kraju? ništa vredno preterane pažnje.

ako ti se ovo bude dopalo, potraži i ostala izdanja HATE etikete (trebalo bi da ih bude 5, EPjevi su u pitanju), mislim da se relativno lako mogu naći. vinilna izdanja su već dostigla cenu od nekoliko desetina evra, tiraži su svojevremeno bili samo 300 kopija.

Pa, sad kad sam ovome posvetio malo više vremena, ne čudi me da izdaju u tako sitnim tiražima, ovo je ipak vrlo hermetičan, sveden zvuk, rekao bih samo za hardkor plesače i amen-gikove. Mislim, preslušao sam prvu stranu i bukvalno sve je amen brejk iseckan na različite načine, uz veoma kratke semplove, teme iz trećeg plana, atmosferične efekte. Nema pevanja, nema rege semplova, nema  onih toplih "intelidžent" matrica kojim nas je Bukem smarao u svoje vreme, nema džez akorda, dakle, bubanj i bas su u prvom planu i kome je to dosta, uživaće, ko želi malo više "muzike", biće začuđen što ovo deluje kao da je tek polovina svake pesme snimljena  :lol:

pa da, ovo je pri-Bukem brejkbit :) meni je taj period posebno drag, otprilike momenat pre nego što se hardkor pocepao na hepi hardkor i džangl, odnosno pre nego što se džangl izdelio na raga džangl i taj likvid džangl. nema semplova klavira, ubrzanih vokalnih semplova i ruke-gore momenata, ali je tu čuveni "usisivač".

a glede tiraža, nije da se ne bi prodalo više ploča. mislim, i sada su te ploče tražene (iako postoji i digitalno izdanje), pa lihvari sa Discogs-a to koriste i nabijaju cene. najdraže mi je bilo da slušam kako prodavci kukaju na skorašnje reizdanje Drexciya-e, govoreći kako to smanjuje cenu starih izdanja.

a trend je da se štampa oko 300 komada, tako si više andergraung :)
