"Rodriguez also announced the opening of a Frank Frazetta museum to display the cult artist's masterworks permanently, which will be based in Austin, Texas. More excitingly for those of us not in the Lone Star State, they've also started to work on a Frank Frazetta film with different artists creating landscapes and scenes in the distinctive Frazetta style. First up, Fire And Ice and if that works, Death Dealer. We saw a selection of pre-production art, which consisted basically of women who aspire one day to be scantily clad and men rich in muscle and fantastical landscapes and gi-normous beasties and yet more women with large bosoms barely tethered by strings with pretensions to bikini-dom. It was kinda cool, if you like that sort of thing".

Ja baš mislim da je ova vest totalno bezveze iz dva razloga:

1. zar iko misli da će Rodrigez posle dva loša filma napraviti išta, sem još jedan loš film?

2. "vest" mi zvuči besmisleno i zbog "Роберт Родригез ради на "Ватри и Леду" Бакшија и Фразете" - šta ima on da radi, kad taj (crtani) film već postoji i sasvim je dobar bez njega?

Spomenuh ja to na temi posvećenoj Frenkovoj smrti, ali ovaj projekat sigurno zaslužuje poseban topik.Ovo je sjajna vest,čovek koji je napravio najbolju filmsku adaptaciju jednog stripa ikada,uhvatio se kultnog dark fantasy crtaća.Ovo ne može da omane.Naravno,pod uslovom da ne pogreši kod izbora Tigre.Srećom,raskinuo je sa Ružom pa ne moramo da se plašimo da će ona dobiti tu ulogu.

Можда се варам, али у овим илустрацијама осећам стил Џастина Свита . Уосталом, како је и сам Родригез рекао, разни уметници ће радити на овом филму а све са циљем да постигне атмосферу и осећај који има сваки посматрач Фразетиних слика.

Е, тако је требао да се ради "Нови Конан" (мислим, са визуелне стране) од почетка .

For a lot of film fans, Sin City is Rodriguez's greatest cinematic achievement. So they may want to hang on to their helmets for the big reveal from the day: Early test footage and concept art fromFire and Ice, the epic sword and sorcery creation of legendary fantasy artist Frank Frazetta. Rodriguez is an unabashed and unapologetic advocate for the master of pulchritudinous prehistoric princesses and flesh-rending barbarians, even getting Frazetta to produce a poster for the original From Dusk Till Dawn. He got Frazetta's approval back before the artist died in 2010, and has been working openly on this project since 2011.

Rodriguez was very complimentary about the 1983 animated movie by Ralph Bakshi, for which Frazetta not only provided the germ of the original story but also helped choreograph some of the action sequences. However, what Rodriguez showed off in this brief taster was much more epic in scale, with thousands of Frazetta's trademark ape men streaming across an endless bridge into battle, and jagged sorcerously-created glaciers bearing down on green forests. According to Rodriguez, he wants to create the feeling of stepping into Frazetta's lush, fluid and violent world, much like Sin City brought two-fisted life to Miller's drizzle-soaked streets.



Ultimately, it's all about paying tribute to Frazetta's artwork, and back during SXSW 2012, Rodriguez discussed his plan to move the entire Frank Frazetta Museum to a brick-and-mortar location in Austin. That plan may still be a way away, but there was a teaser with the display of 10 original Frazetta pieces, including Death Dealer, Death Dealer 2, and Swamp Demon. Rodriguez's aim was to shock people out of the idea that the artist was just a schlocky fantasy guy, and show them the amazing technique he put into works like Moon Maid.
