Barkerova priča Mid-Night Meat Train mi je jedna od naojmiljenih. Super u svim vidovima. Znam, da su bila odkupljena prava za film. A pre par dana video reklamu za Creep. Pa to bi mogao biti baš taj Barker. Molim vas, da li iko zna nešto o tome?

barker je najavio seriju filmova po knjigama krvi, medju njima i M.M. Train!

Variety reports that Clive Barker has teamed up with producer Jorge Saralegui on the Midnight Picture Show and plans to produce two new horror films a year. Many of these projects will be based on stories from Barker's famed BOOKS OF BLOOD anthologies or other original ideas from the author, and one of the first to roll will be THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. Long in development with various filmmakers, the story of a killer dwelling in the subway, who in this adaptation haunts Manhattan and is tracked by a photographer, was scripted by Jeff Buhler and will be directed by FX veteran Patrick Tatopoulos. Lakeshore Entertainment will finance and Lions Gate will distribute the movie, which begins shooting this fall. Other films on the Midnight slate include THE PLAGUE, about murderous children, which we previously reported on here, along with adaptations of PIG BLOOD BLUES, written by Anthony DiBlasi, an executive at Barker's Seraphim Films; NEW YORK RESURRECTION, an original Barker concept to be scripted by John (PACIFIC AIR FLIGHT 121) Heffernan; AGE OF DESIRE, penned by Charles Canzoneri; and REVELATION, for which Lori Lakin is doing the screenplay based on her own idea.

There are two bits of really good news attending this slate: Barker vows that in this age of genre remakes and rehashes, "We hope our advantage will come from my own body of work of really intense horror stories that are original. We will not be reheating old films, freshening up old ideas. Even forgetting the sequels we hope to make, I've got enough here for 20 movies of varying budget scales." And he's keeping it all hardcore: "Jorge and I want to wind up with a library of pictures that will reflect my sensibilities, which are decidedly R-rated," Barker tells the trade. "In fact, the moment I make a PG-13 horror movie, you can take me out and shoot me. Our desire is to leave you feeling that we're a little crazy." Can't wait! —Michael Gingold

Znači da i mi, koji se krečemo ivicom ludila, možemo da snivamo tudje snove, koji se nam ponekad i obistine.

MM Train - vrhunska priča i čini mi se veoma "filmljiva". Uz kvalitetnog specijalnog efektaša moglo bi svašta dobro da ispadne. Meni je još srcu veoma draga Pig Blood Blues. Sad mi se opet u glavu vratilo pitanje zašto je od svih onako jakih priča iz Knjiga krvi ekranizovana baš osrednja Rawhead Rex (i naravno od nje je ispao samo osrednji filmić).
