R.I.P. Nataša, a u međuvremenu ode i Čobi...

Jutros je u Beogradu umro Vladimir Savčić Čobi, zvezda jugoslovenske zabavne muzike 60-ih i 70-ih u sarajevskoj grupi Pro Arte.

Tokom 40-godišnje karijere snimio je 50 singlova, 30 ploča i tri CD-a.

Poslednji solo album Povratak objavio je 2007. u izdanju beogradskog Music Stara.

V. S. Čobi je karijeru započeo kao bubnjar u Sarajevu, iako je prethodno svirao violinu i trombon.

Godine 1967. tamo je osnovao grupu Vokins, pa zatim i grupu Čobi i Njegove Sjenke, kada i dobija nadimak Čobi - po Chubby Checkeru.

Godinu dana kasnije postaje član grupe Pro Arte, koja se proslavila hitovima: Bicikl Poni, Crvene jabuke, Jedna mala plava, Lola, Tike tike tačke, Tužna su zelena polja...

Po prestanku rada grupe, nastavlja solo karijeru sa kompozitorima kao što su Đorđe Novković, Arsen Dedić, Kemal Monteno...

Krajem 80-ih i početkom 90-ih dosta je nastupao po iseljeničkim klubovima u Americi i Australiji, a 1996. je glumio u seriji Složna braća.

Poslednji veliki beogradski koncert održao je septembra 2007.

Umro francuski kompozitor Moris Žar


Francuski kompozitor Moris Žar umro je u noći izmedju subote i nedelje u 85. godini u Los Andjelesu, saopštio je menadžer njegovog sina Žan-Mišela Žara.

Uspešna karijera Morisa Žara, rodjenog 1924. godine u Lionu, počela je 1950-ih godina kada počinje da komponuje filmsku muziku.
Zahvaljujući uspehu muzike iz filma "Lorens od Arabije" iz 1962. godine stiče veliku slavu u Holivudu i učvršćuje saradnju s britanskim rediteljem Dejvidom Linom.
Njih dvojica će saradjivati i na filmovima "Doktor Živago" (1965) i "Put za Indiju" (1984), što će Žaru doneti i Oskara za filmsku muziku.
Komponovao je muziku za više od 150 filmova za čuvene reditelje kao što su Alfred Hičkok, Džon Hjuston, Lukino Viskonti i Piter Vir.

D&D Co-creator Dave Arneson Dies at 61

One of the fathers of role-playing games moves on to new adventures.

Wired.com is reporting that Dave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, has passed away at 61. Arneson, a veteran wargamer and member of the International Federation of Wargamers, met Gary Gygax in Wisconsin in 1970, when they collaborated on several games together before beginning work on what would become Dungeons & Dragons. While the basic format of the game was derived from Gygax's own Chainmail game, it was Arneson who was most responsible for creating the nuts and bolts of the original role-playing game, including the invention of the all-important hit point.

The success of the company was somewhat bittersweet to Arneson, who had to fight for proper credit on the game and filed a number of lawsuits against Gygax and TSR that were later settled out of court. The two patched up their differences in the mid-1980s and did work together again. In later years he published an open d20 version of his original Blackmoor D&D setting, in addition to a full-time gig teaching computer documentation at Full Sail university in Florida. He had a stroke in 2002 and was later diagnosed with cancer.

LOS ANGELES – A friend of adult film star Marilyn Chambers says the actress has been found dead at her home in northern Los Angeles County.

Peggy McGinn says the 56-year-old Chambers was found by her 17-year-old daughter Sunday night and the cause of death has not been determined.

Chambers starred in the 1972 film "Behind the Green Door," which was more widely distributed and attracted a more mainstream audience than the usual adult fare.

Chambers, whose given name was Marilyn Briggs, was once a model for Ivory Snow. She was among the first porn superstars when the stag films of the 1940s through 1960s gave way to the more polished sex films of the 1970s.

Juče je umro Aleksandar Saša Fotez,telvizijski reditelj.Otišao je tiho ,kao što je tiho i živeo i radio.Predavao je i na akademiji i verovatno je bio jedan od najboljih poznavalaca televizije.Radio je ,najčešće,umetničke i emisij iz kulture,ali ima i igranih televizijskih filmova i dramskih progrma.

David Carradine (1936-2009)

BANGKOK – Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok. A news report said he was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy, Michael Turner, confirmed the death of the 72-year-old actor. He said the embassy was informed by Thai authorities that Carradine died either late Wednesday or early Thursday, but he could not provide further details out of consideration for his family.

The Web site of the Thai newspaper The Nation cited unidentified police sources as saying Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room.

It said Carradine was in Bangkok to shoot a movie and had been staying at the hotel since Tuesday.

The newspaper said Carradine could not be contacted after he failed to appear for a meal with the rest of the film crew on Wednesday, and that his body was found by a hotel maid at 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The name of the movie was not immediately available.

It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.

A police officer at Bangkok's Lumpini precinct station would not confirm the identity of the dead man to The Associated Press, but said the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel had reported that a male guest killed himself there.

Carradine was a leading member of a venerable Hollywood acting family that included his father, character actor John Carradine, and brother Keith.

In all, he appeared in more than 100 feature films with such directors as Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Hal Ashby.

But he was best known for his role as Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin priest traveling the 1800s American frontier West in the TV series "Kung Fu," which aired in 1972-75.

He reprised the role in a mid-1980s TV movie and played Caine's grandson in the 1990s syndicated series "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues."

He returned to the top in recent years as the title character in Quentin Tarantino's two-part saga "Kill Bill."

Maybe David just needed to go up in the mountains for a while.

Smrt Davida Carradinea ipak nesreća? Tajlandska policija je saopštila da je zvezda serije Kung Fu i filma Kill Bill pronađen obešen u plakaru svoje sobe, s konopcem vezanim za genitalije i vrat, i da bi njegova smrt mogla biti nesrećan slučaj, umesto samoubistva, kako se pretpostavilo u prvi mah. "Nije jasno da li je reč o samoubistvu ili je umro od posledica gušenja ili od srčanog udara kao posledice orgazma", rekao je predstavnik policije Worapong Chewprecha.
