Coroner: Dr. Dre's Son Died From Overdose of Heroin and Morphine

Dr. Dre's son, Andre Young Jr., died from an overdose of heroin and morphine, the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner confirmed to PEOPLE on Friday.

"This case has been closed, it's been ruled an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication," coroner spokesman Larry Dietz told PEOPLE. The drug test results had been pending for four months.

Young, 20, was found unresponsive by his mother, Jenita Porter, 40, in their Woodland Hills, Calif., home on the morning of Aug. 23.

Paramedics pronounced Young – who was remembered by friends as an optimistic young man – dead at the scene.

Porter told investigators that her son had been out with friends that night, and she recalled hearing him snoring around 5:30 a.m.

"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son," the rapper's publicist Lori Earl previously said in a statement. "Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time."

Било је крајње време да VIP нешто изведу, али зашто имам филинг да је то неки почетак њиховог краја?

ima još stvari koje su curele sa tog albuma koji se sprema jedno 3-4 dine. (već vidim crippleova poređenja sa axl roseovim poduhvatom  )

u svakom slučaju, sa raznim scenskim iskustvima u međuvremenu - tvrdim i funky prtijima, juiceom, pa čak i bad copyjem, vip će morati dobro da se reinventuju da ne bi zvučali patetično u novom dobu domaćeg rapa. sa tehničke strane će, doduše, taj album vrlo verovatno biti neki vrh domaće produkcije.

Tacno to, morace da se potrude ako oce da predstavljaju ulicu ili vec sta, nemam ni ja ideju u kom pravcu ce da ide to, o cemu ce se repuje, a ovo za produkciju si skroz u pravu.

 Skim off all the visual bling, and "Notorious" is a rock-solid biopic with a foolproof rise-and-fall storyline and a warmly nuanced performance by Jamal Woolard as iconic rapper Christopher Wallace -- aka Biggie Smalls, aka the Notorious B.I.G. Less interested in the particulars of Smalls' 1997 slaying than in his growth and influence as an artist, the pic has a propulsive narrative drive. Although the beat-heavy Fox Searchlight release will command a rap-centric fan base, it should also hip-hop its way across demographic lines.
Helmer George Tillman Jr. seems partial to the incongruous flourish, and treats Wallace's assassination as though it were the most significant blow to literature since the death of Keats. At the same time, "Notorious" might be considered the third in an unofficial trilogy on late 20th-century American popular music -- the first two being "Bird" and "Cadillac Records."

Woolard might have starred in all of them: As the decidedly un-svelte Smalls, he cuts a figure at once sympathetic, comic, deceptively charming and occasionally cunning. He's an unlikely leading man, but then, Smalls was an unlikely sex symbol. It's a good fit, and Woolard owns the movie.

The story begins with young Christopher's nerdy upbringing in Brooklyn as the child of a single, striving mother, Voletta Wallace (Angela Bassett). (That Mom calls him "Chrissie-poo" won't do much for Wallace's gansta legacy.) Pic then moves on to his crack-dealing, gun possession, prison time and jail-cell evolution into the baddest rapper in Brooklyn.

An alliance with fledgling music mogul Sean Combs (Derek Luke) leads to a record deal; a friendship with West Coast colleague Tupac Shakur (Anthony Mackie) turns sour and segues into fatal confrontations. But a sense of doom never really permeates "Notorious," which is far more concerned with one artist's development, demons and self-realization.

While Bassett isn't given sufficient material to show her usual depth, the supporting cast is solid overall -- notably Naturi Naughton and Antonique Smith as Lil' Kim and Faith Evans, respectively, the principal women in Smalls' life. Mackie comes close to stealing every scene he's in, his Shakur emitting a natural incandescence that contrasts with Biggie's stolid darkness.

The script, by Reggie Rock Bythewood and Cheo Hodari Coker, is often too weighted with expository luggage ("My father died hustling on these streets when I was 2 years old," Combs says). The few times the social implications of the story are overplayed only serve to show how frequently subtle the movie really is.

With Voletta Wallace and Sean Combs among the producers of "Notorious," it's perhaps no surprise that their characters are portrayed as staunchly noble and, in Wallace's case, eminently self-sacrificing. And given the cloud that continues to shadow the Biggie-Tupac feud, one might expect the film to imply guilt or conspiracies. But with the exception of the 1994 robbery in which Tupac was shot (and which he blamed on Biggie and Co.), the film takes a hands-off approach to the double murders and the venomous East Coast-West Coast rap war that generated so much ink and distraction toward the ends of the two stars' lives.

The question of who was behind the murders is left largely to speculation, and the lack of danger in all this seems oddly antithetical to the image Biggie and Tupac left behind. But as Tillman wants to show, that image was largely just marketing -- a mask for the human story he has effectively unearthed from its tabloid interment.

Production values are tops, although sometimes executed with a heavy hand. Smalls is played in the pic's early scenes by his and Evans' son, Christopher Jordan Wallace.

Going to the cinema is becoming an increasingly pointless exercise in these days of Blu-ray and giant home theater systems, now its becoming a real gamble with your life.

Less than a month after a man was shot at a Philadelphia screening of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" comes word that a 32-year-old man was shot twice in the abdomen in the lobby of the Four Seasons Station theatre multiplex in Greensboro, North Carolina on Friday evening says The Greensboro Telegram.

The victim, Clive O'Connor, was rushed to the hospital where he underwent surgery. The theater was playing a sold out opening of the biopic movie "Notorious", the story of slain rapper Biggie Smalls aka. 'The Notorious B.I.G.', and several hundred people turned out waiting to see the movie.

These included some frustrated patrons who had to wait in the cold to get tickets. O'Connor "got into an argument" with an unknown person in the line who evidently shot him.

Stranger still is that rapper/actor Jamal Woolard, who plays Christopher Wallace in the film, was actually at the theater during the shooting though police reports indicate he wasn't in the proximity of the shooting or has been linked to the incident in anyway.

Funnily enough around the same time, four men were stabbed at a New York City nightclub where an after party was being held for the film's debut.

The Four Seasons theater has informed the media that it has taken the unusual step of deciding to drop the film entirely from its lineup and that it will not be showing it in the future.

The film itself however scored $21.5 million opening at the box-office over the weekend with an excellent $13,126 per screen average, while reviews have been mixed to slightly positive.

 Lil' Wayne would probably sneer at the comparison, but "The Carter" -- Adam Bhala Lough's intimate, warts-and-all profile of recording artist Dwayne "Lil' Wayne" Carter -- is the "Don't Look Back" of rap. Like D.A. Pennebaker's long-ago Bob Dylan doc, it's spontaneous, unblinking, and ennobles its subject despite himself. Exposure will likely be via music-oriented cable and Online, but Lough's film -- and its moody, idiosyncratic subject -- are revelatory and kinetic.
Traveling the music world in a perpetual bubble of bodyguards, publicists and the effects of pot and cough syrup, the 26-year-old "greatest rapper alive" is seen in contentious interviews, onstage performances, and with his ever-present "black bag" of recording equipment, which allows him to constantly lay down the stream-of-consciousness lyrics that will be honed into the hits that have made Wayne one of rap's biggest stars. Lil' Wayne comes off as sort of an impossible personality, but Bhala's snapshot is a kick.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's new production company, Cheetah Vision, is developing the drama "The Dance" reports Yahoo

The rapper will star as a boxer who goes to state prison and Nicolas Cage plays the founder of the prison's boxing program.

Jackson soon stars in the drama/thriller "Streets of Blood" with Val Kilmer and Sharon Stone, and is currently filming the American remake of French thriller "13 Tzameti".

He made his directorial debut on the film "Before I Self Destruct" which will be released with his new album in late March.

Plus me čudi da je uzeo da je repuje sa Marlon Brutalom koji ipak predstavlja navijače, a oni kao što je poznato, nemaju baš neki moralni highground u odnosu na policiju.

Treba policija da osnuje svoju rep grupu i da napravi response pesmu MAFIJA SA ŠALOVIMA u kojoj bi malo opisala taj ljupki navijački milje.

Nije baš mnogo DRTI, ali Marčelo sigurno ima ponešto zanimljivo da kaže za svakoga ovde. Video intervju na popboksu. Ja ga nisam pogledao, ali pošto se ja i Nebojša ne vidimo (a verovatno i ne čujemo), onda znam da nikome neće dati košmarne snove.

Bah... mogao je neki twist da napravi na kraju... Količina drame koju isporučuje je nedovoljna za moje tvrdo srce.  

ali thcf - "majmun idzuo" jedan od najjačih albuma u poslednjih 10 godina

realni momci koji su bili u raznim pričama, umeju da bace prejaku rimu, do jaja repuju, bitovi jebu

i što je najjače - totalni kolaps privida "industrije", znači nedostatak televizija za puštanje spotova i sl. je neke klince naučio da rade stvari samo za sebe i za sebi slične a ovi klinci su to uradili bez kompromisa, new school, jaka repčina a opet nije hermetična i nekomunikativna. ovo je poslednja karika u jednoj tradiciji domaćeg repa belgrade posse-full moon-vip-thcf gde je svako preuzimao štafetu od prethodnog. usudio bih se da tvrdim da su najjači i najusmereniji u celoj toj tradiciji.

Za sad ovo sto sam cuo deluje iskreno, a meni je to u princupu najbitnije, e sad sto onaj debeljko bas i nije neka faca nit nesto preterano repuje to moz i da se prezivi, ipak je klinac, mada nisam siguran kolko zaista ima godina ?

i oni idzuli! domaći rap nikad nije bio jači - sad izlazi one shot mixtape, nadam se uskoro i sick touch, pa se čeka unija, ma gomila stvari...

Aj, ako tako velish, odma vatam ceo album da ga natenane.

E pa OK je ovo, pesmica OPEKO SAM SE moj favorit.
